These two jokers who are not interested in sharing their life with someone but were only interested in being on television. They were unwilling to make any compromises and just wanted to have a lavish wedding paid for by TV even when they knew in their hearts that this wasn't going to last after ABC stopped paying them. The format of the show doesn't give the foundation for a healthy relationship. When you have to pay someone to fall in love you better believe they will for the camera ha! This man said I love you to multiple women in the course of only weeks of dating them and now they are blaming their break up on distance when both of them knew fully well that was not the main factor. I think that after they took away the magic of television, planned activities, roses, excitement, adventure , alcohol, money, and the luxury being thrown at them he got bored and missed the magic of TV and what could have been with the other ladies. I wish them all the best and hope they go away and create authentic lives they can truly enjoy. These two need some serious therapy ✌🏾

They're using the "...well, we just couldn't find the right home for us..." as an excuse. They both knew their family situations before they got married. I think the real reason is that Teresa found out old Gerry isn't quite as golly gee nice as he was portrayed to be by the show. Plus, she is just WAY too clingy. Thank God she did a pre-nup though. At least she will hold on to her money.

Let this be a message to the producers of the golden bachelor. The couple’s reasons for divorcing are very understandable because at this stage of life, most people want to be in a somewhat near proximity to their children and grandchildren. When the producers are selecting individuals to be part of the dating group, they should try to select the people from within a closer proximity to the golden bachelor. I, personally, was waiting for this to happen.

Gerry was never in love with Theresa at all. He started out being genuine with all the ladies and in the middle he was all over the place. Theresa was the one always hugging and kissing on him . The only time real contact for him was in fantasy suite and he was trying to hide that until she told everyone on TV. It really saddening me that Theresa was doing anything to get him, but that wasn't true love.

Honestly, I’m not surprised. That wedding “show” was a joke. Didn’t they talk about where they were going to live?! And other very important things before? Matters that you talk about on the very first date. I never believed those tears. Making promises to each other without knowing the person fully? They seemed to be more interested and involved in the wedding “party” and her picking out the dress, honeymoon etc etc. I guess she got what she really wanted, the fancy wedding reception that she said she did not get with her first husband, which he had to leave right after due to military deployment. But she loved her husband, a good man. A long life she lived with him until he passed away. A huge expensive wedding reception does not guarantee a good marriage, or if you are really in love. She should remember her wedding with her Billy and be great full she had a very good husband, I’m sure, she has many good memories. I guess this bothers me because to see grown 73 year old people acting so foolishly.

If you watched their interview on Dear Shandy a week or so ago, you could read between the lines that things weren’t going all that great. At that point, it seemed to me that Gerry was seeing too many hurdles, but that Teresa was still halfheartedly, wanting to keep trying.

I recall Gerry being very gung-ho about making wedding plans right away after he had chosen her as his potential bride. I thought it was too soon, because of their ages, and the amount of family concerns that needed to be addressed. Sure they are not getting any younger, but they could have taken even a few months to make life altering decisions that might affect both families. If things were okay in both camps, those decisions could have been easily made. Something occurred in the time between their marriage, and the present time….only 3 months. I had read about a couple of weeks ago, that they hadn’t moved in together. Knew something was up. Maybe they realized that they are meant to be friends….nothing more.
