I was skeptical about the "Murdoc isnt there to continue hitting 2D" explanation about the white eyes since usually people in youtube comments just leave it at that with no details, and I didn't know much about 8 ball fracture. But I searched around and it turns out that 8 ball fractures can heal after a few days, but that a person who had it are more likely to get it again if they suffer from head trauma again. And Murdoc WOULD care that much about keeping up the band's image that he would keep knocking 2D on the head to prevent the eyes from healing. Murdoc being in jail means 2D in this vid got to heal his eyes, and then Russel trips him, he falls hard, 8 ball fracture came back which meant blurry eyes, then 2D struggles with skating

I have a theory on why his eyes turn back black. He has Hyphema, which normally heals quickly. But his doesn’t. Irl, if you get head trauma your hyphena will return. And 2D is always getting hit on the head by Murdoc, maybe because Murdoc wants to keep up the ‘black eyed god’ front for 2D. And since Murdoc wasn’t there his eyes could heal. Then when Russel tripped him he fell on his head and his eyes went black again

This is what encouraged me to look deeper into the gorillaz. Like there i was listening to some newish Gorillaz song (random recommended) and my curiosity got me and i was like "ya know what... I'll BET people ship 2d with... Some body." So i type in '2d x'... And "2d X Ace" is the most popular result. So of course im like ... Who tf is Ace.... So i look it up and im like "that's...definitely that one guy from the powerpuff girls.... What even...." .... I mean thats the most random thing i can think of... What person thought "ya know who he'd be cute with? This random character from a random 90s cartoon who looks nothing like him and has nothing in common with him in general".... But then i figured out Ace replaced Murdoc. Mind = Blown. Who knew that kinda crossover was even ALLOWED? O.O I love that the powerpuff creators okay'd it. Maybe next we get to see Mr. Krabs or Pearl alongside Cherry in a studio killers vid or sum shit :p
