this is the very first phase of Gorillaz I’m witnessing in real time and I must say… I AM NERVOUS FOR WHATS TO COME 😭

Alright so for you lore lovers here is what I’ve found: This takes place before the cracker island music video perhaps even a direct prequel, we know this as cracker island was a vision into the future by Russ. We also know Russ has started to go crazy due to the static channel, because 2D and Murdoc both have spoken about it. Murdoc states he can’t help but feel bad for Russ as he’s losing his mind. 2D is a bit less concrete as the audio file is from the static channel however we see Russ just staring blankly refusing to eat. More then likely this would have already happened or going to happen soon. It’s very easy to note that this takes place very close to the Hollywood sign which is a Chekhov’s gun of sorts as we know there will be an accident underneath. This means this will more then likely take place directly before cracker island.

I don’t deserve to exist in a world with Gorillaz. Yet I do. And I’m loving every single moment of it.

Gorillaz never miss a shot with these songs. I didn't like a majority of the Humans album but over time it grew on me and that's what I love about this band
