They did invent the sport but they are incredible and work so hard to keep innovating it and keep it fresh. I rewatched the London 2012 Individual All-Around finals again the other night when I couldn't sleep. Never ever get tired of watching rhythmic gymnastics... I saw a different documentary on Russian rhythmic gymnastics, it was done this year pre-Rio, and one gymnast had a stress fracture in her foot, they said it was as simple as gaining and losing 2-3kgs, that extra weight can make the difference at the highest level of rhythmic gymnastics... I was definitely surprised by that. I'm used to hearing about artistic gymnastics and injuries, but not rhythmic.

The truth is Russians dominate everything! :D

I remember watching a documentary on Yana and she said "winning doesn't matter to me" or something like that! confusing..but I suppose if you train like how Yana does, then you'd want to win! you want your hard work to pay off!
