Only one person was showing any willingness to engage in Judo in that match and it wasn't the Brazilian. Great to see the Korean girl win so decisively with Ippon. No wonder the Brazilian did everything she could to stop her taking a grip. Well done Korea. Referee was a total waste of space.

Thought Silva would get more penalized, always half-hearted Uchi-Mata into just turteling on ground. Frustrating tactic, i am happy Huh won.

I don't know much about judo, but it felt like the Brazil athlete was only defending. I am glad Korea got the win. Lots of effort was made.

Judo against brawling and tricks, the entire repertoire. Disrupting kumi kata, fake attaks, kicks in the legs (it's not ashiwaza without unbalance, it's just kicking), brutality, defensive posture. If I was the referee, Silva would have gone home by sum of shidos. And football scenes, weeping as if hit, then attacking with the fury of berserk gorilla two seconds later. As ugly as it gets. Huh kept calm, managed to block the grunt of just phisical brawling, did not get nervous by undeserved shido (at least one was given to even out) and won by a clear ippon in the end. Quite deservingly. Almost painful to see, in a Judo contest one must do Judo. The way of adaptation. Ended well though, with ippon. Did I miss something, or the loser missed to congratulate and salute in the end?

Just watched this again, and also the semi-final fight between the Brazilian girl and Daria Bilodid. I never thought I'd ever see Judo competition sink to this level. Both refs were incompetent empty suits and the Brazilian girl is simply a Dan grade in gamesmanship, phoney injuries and spoiling. I'm so glad she's not representing the UK. Unbelievably dishonest Judo. Commiserations to Bilodid, and huge congratulations to Mimi Huh.

As someone from outside that never competed Judo. I feel like all those falls should counter for small points or something because in a fight context those falls would have counted for small injuries. It seems like Mimi was struggling to get a big throw because Rafaela was willing to take those falls before anything could really happen. If the falls counted I think Rafaela would have stood and fought more, or Mimi would have won by small points much earlier.

Ela não estava bem fisicamente para esta última luta, demonstrava estar muito cansada, principalmente no final da luta. O judô é um esporte que, em algumas categorias de peso, é muito rotativo e dinâmico, e os atletas que conseguem ficar por um bom tempo competindo, dentro desta rotatividade, merece meus parabéns, e é o caso da Rafaela.
