I know this isn't what the song is about but these lyrics kind of hit different. Also WARNING, this has some mentions of abuse. "Nobody really cared, so it never really mattered, it never really mattered, so it never really happened." I was abused for years and years as a kid, and DHS never did anything. They told me that there were cases more "important" than mine so they wouldn't do anything(it didn't matter because they didn't care). So after a while of nothing being done, these incidents just got twisted in the minds of other people, especially my abusers, and I was told that it never happened. That really messes with a 7-13 year old's mind. Trying to find your identity after having it labeled for you "worthless bitch", even years after, it can be hard. There are more lyrics that I relate to, but it gets a little more graphic than that, and this is the lyric that I like the most.
