In India Shias prosper and their community is well known for their businesses As a Hindu, we always buy our electronics from Shia Bussiness men we prefer them over other Hindu business men in our city... I and My friend (Shia) shared apartment for 2 years and never felt that we had two different religions... He played Holi with us and also attended Ganesh Puja in our home He wanted to join Indian Police Service to help other Shia Muslims in India.... He is a true patriot and loves India

Thanks Palki, however it would have been only fair if you had explicitly articulated the fundamental Shia Sunni difference - Shias believe it is only the prerogative of the Prophet to appoint his successor (who officially coronated Ali as his successor at Ghadeer-e-Khum), while the Sunnis believe it is upto the people to decide who should succeed the Prophet (Abu Bakr was chosen by a group of Muslims at Saquifa)

The Prophet himself never indicated anyone as his heir.Neither did the Prophet say anything to the effect that some people are superior to other people because of their lineage or ancestry. He said clearly that "the best among you is he who is the most "pious" (conscious of the existence of the Creator and fearing the Creator).

What we can expect in 9 min, I also tried to search things on these as far as I understand in simple words sunni just wanted their leader by voting 😂, shia wanted the leader from the bloodline. It's not 100 or more...Hinduism concept is still on Trinity and the ultimate God is Narayana or Human. So for ease of people so many Gods or ways are there. If we dive deeply into it, we will clearly see that Ali (A.S) was a real companion of Muhammad SAW. Ali was one of the commander in all the wars Muhammad SAW had fought. During his (Muhammad SAW), in a speech clearly tells the people of Makkah that whoever believes and accepts me as a leader, Ali AS is their leader too. A lot of other places and events had taken places where a person can clearly says that Ali AS was the only and true companion after Muhammad SAW. Hope so but far from truth. History proves that Shia and Sunni's are united as long as there are in process of making a country more islamic than it is. Once Islam takes over as 35% population, then history proves that, they both will start slowly fighting and then by the time Islam becomes majority country and no one to fight over, they start fighting between them. That pirated copy of catholism could NOT dare to launch itself even till 400 years of Prophet Muhammad's demise... then that shiaism was launched as a political move by safvids/persians chew onto something new than dozens of versions of paganism.. so its a consolidated paganism with rituals pirated from Catholism..

Before Islam Arabs had different religion. They used to worship the idols of 3 female deities. But later everything changed. It's said that one of those deities was brought to Somnath temple in Gujarat, India to prevent its demolition.

As an ignorant Westerner, I have often wondered what the Shia/Sunni divide in Islam was about. I vaguely knew it was something to do with claims of descent from the prophet Mohammed. Thank you for this clear and interesting expanation.

Sunnis are enemies of India. I support Shias. Pakistan and Bangladesh and Afghanistan are Sunni. We indians stand with Shias against Followers of Abu Bakr the Sunnis.
