When people say that this can happen with tons of synthetic fertilizer only, well you are wrong. One needs to have a vermiculture, compost and swamp tea fertilizer to make it work. From research plus trial and error, I get to practice what works for my climate and type of soil. I only need to do land prep with synthetic fert but after planting it's a weekly top dress with the organics. A kitchen gardener should just have more nightcrawlers, available compost and swamp tea to make their land sustainable for growing. This is possible. I have 20 varieties of veggies. It is quite expensive for start-up because worm casting and composts takes months. So one has to buy the organic ferts first. I buy them to a group of organic farmers too so it's 100% legit. But swamp tea can be used after 3 days. You get to separate egg shells for calcium, bananas for potassium & magnesium, etc for individual needs of plants and trees. It's fun to watch the garden flourish. The EY videos I appreciate because it gives me more ideas to maximize my space. Oh and for pesticides, I only use organics too like neem, onions, garlic, chili, some kitchen materials like baking soda, vinegar, epsom salt, etc. These never harms the pollinators so I don't need to do it manually. IMO, the video is sharing ideas not the practice because you need to account for different factors such as what I have said earlier, the climate, soil, plus available materials. I honestly want to plant marigolds but it won't grow. Still trying but now I am using other natural pest control like our local oregano. So if you can just hold your horses with the harsh comments and put some work in those garden, that would have a better output. I never get it why some people live to bash others.

Amazing how you grow those veges with out showing what else you put in it while on the growing stage to harvest.. It could not just live on water and soil alone, come on.
