You should definitely check out Rina Sawayama’s album. The guitars on that rip harder than the guitars on a lot of rock albums nowadays. You’ll love it. Dynasty has a sick solo. And stuff like Who’s Gonna Save You Now, STFU, and XS just fucking rock. I have no idea how she isn’t the biggest pop star in the world right now. Also you might like Poppy. She started off as sort of a bubblegum pop pastiche and then pivoted into being like sort of an American answer to Babymetal. Though at this stage I think Poppy’s stuff has become more embraced by the metal community than the pop one.

If anything, Gwen did it first since the 90s with her reggae/ska songs and also in 2000 with her single "Ex-Girlfriend". Madonna was a big star in the 80s but don't act like she invented everything lol. Plus, no one cares about Madonna nowadays. Ps: Even Confessions was influenced by LAMB. It was Gwen (mixing a lot of genres) who made Pop interesting again. Madonna is the queen of pop but she would never be as cool as Gwen.
