Or maybe because it's just so different? Not everyone is gonna like that version due to it being so different. I dislike brass instruments, so straight away that was something against it for me personally. Not saying this was terrible, because it isn't inherently bad, but for my taste, it was simply a tad shit. I'm sure you, yourself have genres that turn you off before it's even begun, regardless of the song being covered.
