After multiple sequels and reboots since the original Halloween in 1978, the franchise returned to it’s roots in 2018 with a direct sequel to the ‘78 film which disregarded all the other weird ones. And in true Hollywood fashion, that sequel now has a sequel.
Halloween Kills definitely raises some questions. Like why didn’t Laurie think firefighters would show up to the big fire she started? Why does the main character spend the entire movie in a hospital bed? Why does everyone keep splitting up? Why doesn’t anyone shoot Micheal Myers from a distance? Is he supernatural or not? Well Michael is never seen running or even walking quickly, and tends to not use ranged weaponry, so really this should be the primary way not to get killed by him. Most of the characters in Halloween Kills try a strategy better described as "running into Michael's knife."

@@SeanUCF There actually are a few small towns where gun ownership is mandatory. Those places have 0 (or close enough) crime. Interesting side note: In some parts of Europe during the Middle Ages, it was required by law for men to carry swords. In England for a time, it was required that men own a bow and all sports except archery were outlawed on Sundays. This to have the entire adult male population be able to be called upon for archers.

While it might be hyperbole to say that they have _zero_ crime, their crime rates are all shockingly low, even for their size and area. Three of the five have A ratings on Area Vibes (one an A+ and one an A-, with the other a simple A). The other two don't have any crime statistics, so (as ridiculous as it might seem) Area Vibes just generates a crime rate estimate based on certain factors that are not as predictive as people think.

@@amityislandchum kennesaw Georgia when they mandated it the crime rate dropped far lower than the ne national average an d had a far larger drop than the average. It actually did a lot. Most incarcerated robbers note that their biggest fears were having the homeowners there and the homeowners having guns.

I don't know if you seen the movie, but that plot hole bothered me the entire time. This guy is on stage crying about a couple of murders that happened 40 years ago, all the while we live in America, where a mass shooting happens literally every day. Not to get political about it, but reality has kind of desensitized us to horror films, at this point.

Like, we the audience know of all the Movies where Michael escaped and went on to commit more Murders, but sense the last film just takes into account the Orignal, the whole premise, treating Michael like he's been to this town what the Joker was to Gotham. I have to give them props for one thing though. Her getting stabbed, being hospitalized, trying to get up and do something but immediately being like "Ow, my stitches!" ...That sounds very similar to what actually happens when you get stabbed. Not super dramatic to watch, perhaps, but realistic!
