Most of the "students" are working their way through the pipeline of Special Forces training. They're in fantastic shape, and as many times as I've watched this video I cannot get over how young they look. Of course when I served in the Army, I was that young too, but I wasn't crazy enough to do anything like this! I wish them all the good fortune in the world; they're going to need it!

I went through Military Free Fall back in Vietnam in 1970. Frank Nurbery put us through. Man it sure has changed from those days... Before I went through, I took an R&R to Australia and did some Free Falls there. I needed to get back in shape and mentally fit to do it again... While in Nam, I jumped with the best. Billy Waugh, Verlin R. Glenn, D-8.... I started jumping in 1964 with Sky Hi Pioneers, out of Phoenix, AZ . At 73, I still jump from time to time... I love it

Would love to do that. Started jumping in 1963 as a paratrooper with the 101st. Airborne. Went on to skydiving in 1966. Had my first square in 1970, (Para Plane). Had to quit in 1972 because of my job. Got back into it in 2013 through 1915. Been to 13,500' a couple of times but always wanted to go much higher. Blue Skies to you all.

I know you didn't make the song, but I like the use of pan distribution, at a certain point the vocals are unfiltered and sound gets kind of clogged. The distribution of the instrument sounds are scattered all over the place and is sort of odd to listen to, but you could say it's creative.

1:24 reason #1 why i will never jump with any kind of spring loaded main. Launching a PC into a burble makes no sense compared to pull out/throw out PC's being thrown into clean air. Makes me wonder if the military will ever make the transition.

How do you become a halo instructor?
@dan7462
@dan7462 3 роки тому
First you must be in a MOS that has a HALO requirement and then get Halo Qualified. once you’ve been on status for a year and have more than 50 jumps you can go to the HALO jump master course. Once you’re a JM you can request or volunteer to be an instructor. After you report to the school house, you will be sent through the instructor course and then be able to instruct students. It’s a tough job. When I went to HALO school. We did 3 jumps a day. My instructor did six. He jumped with me and another student. While I was packing my chute he was jumping with the other guy and vise versus. Good luck to you.

@victorvillari6136
@victorvillari6136 5 років тому
Those are the trainers, so yes. They're there to ensure everything goes right, not just that the parachute deploys, but that you don't spin out, pass out, etc. According to our trainer who was a CCT, there were individuals who would spin out and couldn't control themselves in the air during freefall, so they couldn't even pull their own shoots.
@JaredHeuer
@JaredHeuer 5 років тому
Wow that's insane. So they literally fly over and hook into them? At least you're not completely alone first time making a jump. Thanks
@victorvillari6136
@victorvillari6136 5 років тому
@@JaredHeuer Yes, they're around you in case anything goes wrong. In case you don't know, before HALO training and freefall training, you go to Ft. Benning for Airborne School. There's a series of 3 videos, starting with, "Fort Benning Airborne School, Week 1." You should watch them. So by the time you make it to Free Fall training, you'll already have a nice amount of experience jumping out of planes. And as a disclaimer, I leave January 2nd to hopefully become a PJ, so whatever I'm telling you isn't from my own experience.
