Still don't understand how that would not be 'forcing another driver off track'. He's not ahead in the corner, at any point I think. I know they rules it as race incident, but I don't know how Alonso is not fully at fault here.

@@Boerkreeelis I think you forgot or didn't see that he lost his rear mid corner and corrected it resulting stroll being pushed you can see it just looking at him steering the car. Plus look at max start if you want to maintain or get the position in the inside you literally have to torpedo it's just that Hamilton know it and avoided it.

Your logic is simply fault: if Verstappen has to give the position back because he had a snap of oversteer while trying to overtake Hamilton in Bahrein this year (which caused him to give wide), I don't see why Alonso shouldn't get a penalty here (or at least that Stroll shouldn't have to give the position back). Similarly, if we use the same argumentation, Hamilton and Albon's incident in Austria last year, where Hamilton runs wide because he lost downforce to Albon who went around the outside, should not be penalized because 'he lost control'. Or Verstappen for running wide into Ricciardo after losing downforce in Hungary in 2017 I believe. The argument you use makes no sense: Alonso pushes Stroll wide. Whether that's due to choice or mistake, the end result is the same and should have been penalized (or Stroll shouldn't have to give the position back, as different rules apply for driving around the bollard if the driver is forced of track). If Alonso was ahead, like with Verstappen (who took a big risk, don't get me wrong), if would have been different. But he wasn't. Verstappen took a big risk, but as he said himself, he knew who he was racing, and it was a great move because he made sure he ended up ahead to take the corner. Hamilton also knew that, didn't want to take the risk after having a worse start and didn't complain once about the whole thing. I suggest looking at Driver61's analysis of that moment, I think it nice clarifies it.

Max was reckless, could have taken them both out. He was pretty much out of control on that first corner, taking it too fast. If it wasn't for Lewis and quick thinking they would both be out.
