Most of this is useless. The real answer is that most of these hacks boil down to needing the right tool for the job. It can be unsafe and undermine the quality of your work to cobble something together like this. Do it properly and run to the hardware store.

I have a tip I'd like to add If you're working with metal roofing with those ribs, and you want the ribs to run downwards from the top, only cut just the ribs (not the flat sections) for the top of the roof and the metal roof will fold over really nice and stay together as one piece, then take a leftover piece of the metal roofing, cutting it longways using one rib to go the length of the roof folded over for the roof cap.

🔧💡🏠 That's a fantastic tip! When dealing with metal roofing with ribs, cutting only the ribs for the top of the roof allows for a smooth and secure fold, keeping the roof as one piece. And using a leftover piece of metal roofing for the roof cap adds an extra layer of functionality and aesthetics. Your practical approach and attention to detail are truly impressive. Thank you for sharing this valuable technique! 🔧💡🏠

Outside the box...well. i'm not sure if it wasn't outside of inert box. Most of that Is overcomplicated unreliable fabrication.

Good God; NO, JUST NO! -the caulk gun "hack" isn't a hack. It's literally what it's designed for. -Every electrical "hack" is a great way to burn down your house or useless. They only reason you'd need a wire stripper like that is if you're stealing wire. -The wire twister is stupid and no electrician would be that reckless. You're stupid for even trying. -Don't fix a wire with a freaking bottle cap! Fire hazard. -Those screws in the grinder look super dangerous. -Paint roller idea is stupid, you're going to ruin one side when you lay it down to dry. -Splicing wire like that is impractical, dangerous and stupid. -A drill bit extractor is not a "hack". It's a tool specifically for that purpose.

What exactly is wrong with replacing PVC insulation with PVC insulation?
@eric98292
@eric98292 2 роки тому
@@markrainford1219 1) Wire isn't coated in PVC. It's coated in THHN insulation which stands for thermoplastic high-heat-resistant, nylon 2) Bottle caps aren't PVC or THHN. they are high density polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene (PP). 3) Directly violated the UL listing 4) Since they're not rated for heat and water resistance, at best this would short out and at worst start a fire. Not to mention the potential for electrocution. 5) The actually make products to do this for real that will not burn down your house. This kind of amateur hour will kill someone.
