If you didn't see him as handsome, a womanizer and a gentlemen your standards are higher then Taylor Swift or you didn't have your eyes open. As for me when I saw Casino Royale I thought it was fantastic and he was what the franchise needed, when Quantum of Solace came out I was seriously disappointed but understood the writers strike had a major impact, but Skyfall and everything that followed really showed some depth to the character and the franchise.

That particular one went back to Her Majesty's Secret Service as Bond and his wife were driving away from their wedding and she was gunned down. The only other Bond movie where he actually was in love. This time, Bond dies and leaves a "widow".
