Kevin... Your video did inspire me to reach out to my estranged family. I called, nobody picked up (not unusual because normally the caller id tells them who is calling)... I wished her a happy birthday, told her I love her and hoped she had a wonderful blessed day with her son and friend. Haven't heard back,.. It's her choice. Was i sad? Couldn’t have said it better. My husband and I went they the same things with his children from another marriage. We tried for years though. In the end it has caused a little more problems when it comes to legal things. But I have just moved on from it since my husbands passing. Will not deal with the drama. I have been reminded to many times just how short life really is. Live it to fullest of your ability not matter how much or how small that ability is. It’s all In Gods time!!

I found your channel just a few short months ago, but your videos about estrangement have been so helpful to me as someone who is also estranged from family... Without going into too much detail, my family estrangement occurred not because of someone else's mental illness... But because my family refused to acknowledge and address my mental health issues, long into adulthood. The fact is, if you haven't been through it, you just cannot imagine the innumerable variety of reasons that there are for people to pull away from their family... I learned long ago, it's better to adopt a no-judgment policy! Thank you for everything, I'm so glad D & D are home safe at last! Enjoy your fishies! :)

Been separated from my family for nearly 12 years, and it honestly feels great. Mainly because my family does not understand that when they speak about others, that they feel it, and sometimes even hears it, even though they are 1000's of miles away. My stepfather was one of those that talked bad about someone mostly all the time, and always had to be angry at someone. About a month before I found out that he died, I noticed that my mind had been very quiet and peaceful, and no longer heard internal arguments or insults from him. Which confirmed what I felt I knew as a child as I would hear is thoughts as if he had said them in a audible voice. Of course I tried to turn it off, and pretty much just thought it was in my own head after the years of narcissistic brain washing. I believe family fundamentals is a beautiful thing, and if families can work things out it should always be done. Yet to live a life and not transfer generational traumas is this day and age is probably more important. I started watching your channel a few days ago, I did catch at least one of those videos about your family. I watch your channel because I am turning 52 next month, and relate to your stories and understanding of life, and it's nice to hear. I live off grid in Hawaii fairly deep into the rainforest. Outside my wife I can go a couple weeks without seeing anyone else. I agree with you, sometimes just giving it to God is all you have left. Often think of the book of Job.

Great conversation new friend, great advise! I’ve been in your shoes a few times, and with the same..family members. Once when my dad was alive, the family would get together often for an occasional cookout. My father got very sick, we became even closer then before and he told me once he passes the family will not connect with me again. This is mainly due to jealousy. Well, he was right..daddy passed, ive not spoken to them since the funeral. Crazy thing, I never once did anything to upset anyone..it was all because I was close to my dad. Well, I’m the youngest, mom and dad divorced when I was 6, I didn’t see him again till I was 14….I loved and missed him and always stayed in touch and helped him from there. It was all jealousy. Sad! I mean this is blood, it shouldn’t be this way! My life now is good, I’m happy and I except what it is and always hope for brighter days in the future. Now though, my life is good :)

Healing beings with you first doing the work. Rejection is all part of it! The outcome may not be positive on the short term but, you are only responsible for your own self, your own mental health. It is close to the ripple affect when a pebble hits the water. Sending out the ripple and waves. The highs and lows! Giving the family okay to heal too! Has change the lay of the land! Your daughter: this is the long game, she has to process the possibility to forgive you and the relationships that follows. You have to remember that you are taking to a grown up that carrying the hurt of the child inside for many years. She has to tackle life, hurt and process choices to forgive. She may be comfortable with the hate as this means she doesn't have to deal again with the hurt. Often people will take the easy way out! Ego's are at battlefield, heroes - few survive! But nothing is impossible....build strong foundation.

Okay that was weird. It was like warping it's shape then wham, gone. Like predator from the movie just turned on active camouflage. The shape was bizarre. I know you have cctv from some of your videos, curious if you've tried some trail cams with IR? I use them sometimes before I go hunting on game trails in areas to scope out and see what's going along those. Big recommendation if you do try them, get a ladder and set them high in the trees pointed down, once I did that I haven't had one dissapear yet, either from critters, people or whatever weirdness is out there.
