The women in this show really are brilliant actors.

I used to work in a posh little boutique. One of the silliest things we sold were bits of paper with trite inspirational messages tied to a seashell and hanging from a string. Expensive and one of our best selling objects. Sold several dozen every day. People are stupid.

My sister's mate used to have a shop like this in Barnes SW London. He'd buy all kinds of shit and sell them at silly prices. If something didn't sell, he'd double the price and it'd be gone. True story.

I swear he got this character from a person I once worked for… except he sold really expensive arts materials. He used to pronounce the word really as rarely, which was amusing at the time.
