To be fair the car market is one of the hardest markets to survive in. Only a tiny few American car brands have the achievement of not going bankrupt.

It didn't happen because of MKBHD, Fisker was already in financial trouble back in 2023. They lost around $400+ million and fired bunch of staff. Their stock started plummeting but they stayed afloat because Nissan was going to invest. That deal didn't go well so Fisker started talking about filing for bankruptcy. The news went out and stock plummeted. All of this happened back in 2023. For reference, MKBHD reviewed the car in Feb 2024. MKBHD saw a sinking ship and punched holes in it.

We need more of this. Tired of companies releasing unfinished products and expecting customers to wait for "software updates" I can understood unforeseen issues but these companies 100% knew they had issues and released it anyways. We've seen this in so many industries. The video game industry was notorious for releasing completely unplayable games and buyers having to wait months to even be able to play the game they bought. It's now becoming way too common with auto manufacturers. An $80 game is one thing, you aren't taking that big of a hit. But a $40,000+ vehicle? That's just ridiculous. I'm currently going through the same thing with my 2022 VW GTI. Nothing but Software bugs where they keep promising fixes with the latest software update. Mechanically it's fine, but the software drives me nuts. We've all become beta testers and silently sat there and accepted it. After this experience, I dread the thought of buying a new car in the future. Cars have become too software dependent, too distracting with these unnecessarily large screens, a bunch of "safety" tech that doesn't work half the time and if anything reduces safety. A law need's to be passed that bands auto manufacturers from implementing all this horse shit like lane detection, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, etc. Drivers have become lazy, less attentive and more dangerous on public roads because of it. Because the moment these systems stop functioning, they have no idea what to do. We have eyes for a reason. I don't need all this crap jacking up the cost of the vehicle. and making the quality suffer elsewhere. It's a joke.

He just pointed out the obvious flaws, the company's performance was on them... Besides they knew their cars were junk, that's why they asked him not to review it.

I was working for Fisker and let me tell you that his review didn't kill the company. The customers who bought the Fisker's vehicles kill Fisker's company due to alot of complaints to DOT, BBB & FEDS right along with piss poor management & Unnecessary spending of money and the cars was nowhere near finish other words they wasn't road ready @ all especially from breaks issues

Correction: Fisker got Fisker to (almost) go bankrupt by making a bad product and people found out about it. Lets stop trying to blame reviewers for company making sub-par products and not making money off of them.

The video didn't kill them. Fisker killed Fisker with a bad car that wanted so badly to be a tesla. Selling only 5k of them says a lot and the fact that so many owners were not happy with the car was their downfall. MKBHD just pointed that fact out.
