Snake eyes had potential. They got the guy who choreographed for Rurouni Kenshin to do Snake Eyes and this guy was Donnie Yen's homie. Shang-Chi got the late great Brad Allen who was a member of the Jackie Chan Stunt Team

Too bad the action cinematography had shakey camera, heavy edit cuts, many angled shots, jankity CGI and no real _OOMF!_ for the action/reaction hits. The actors/stunt people moved in an unnatural, staged fashion. The fighters look like they're softly hitting one another with weird physics and no real emotional/physical damage. Did Screen Rant even watch the movie? Nah, you're just riding the hype gravy train. Chef's Kiss!😘

A visual treat to relish! 1. The VFX was, of course, brilliantly executed and the details were so very intricate. 2. The cast! They absolutely stole it. 3. The story was beautifully written with a perfect pace and placement of scenes. 4. The absolute winner for this movie was the soundtrack. The music fit the narrative extremely well and I as an audience was totally soaked into it. Also, MCU's new style of patently crafted melody for each scene depending upon the narrative mood was an absolute delight to watch. 5. Completely, worth every penny. A 10/10 for you Shang-Chi!

A lot of people in the West make fun of Chinese choreography in action movies saying these "techniques" don't work in real life fights, and they are too flashy, bla bla bla. But in the MCU, these type of fights that are smooth and flowy are what is needed for such action movies to exist in today's date.

In comics it was more Bruce Lee inspired, Not so much infighting, but more one hit knock outs, blocking, waaay more rouge in the comics. The cool thing about the comics is that you see his thoughts while fighting. I remembered while he fought Spiderman and was impressed by him. His conclusion was "doesnt matter, Since I am high level martial art master. He was bound to lose"

I would say this fight is the best fight in the whole movie for me. Not alot of cgi muddying the background so you can focus on the exchanges, no breaking of the pace during the scene. Loved it. Plus Andy Le from martial club got to showcase his skills mega plus for me.

@@Krishna-hp1hh I'll meet your Daredevil fight scenes and raise with Punisher fight scenes. Although I think the FC of Shang-Chi needs a little more polish and hopefully if and when we get a sequel, he won't need to depend on the ten rings' powers (maybe Avengers 7 and/or 8). The sequel needs to touch base on its more realistic down-to-earth roots a la Daredevil. Maybe have the Russo Brothers direct it someday.

Marvel has now nailed another "No double" action scenes because the first Hollywood actor who is done the "No double" fight action choreography is Wesley Snipes. And Simu Liu is preserving Wesley Snipes' legacy in "No double" action-packed fight scene choreography.

yes i agree! but i also wanna point out that chinese/hong kong wuxia movies have been doing “no double” action scenes for decades too! for example jackie chan and his acting/stunt group always did all of their own stunts, even if it was throwing themselves off buildings without a single rig. by doing the same here shang-chi stayed pretty true to classic wuxia movies which i really loved!

I went to the first showing and there were people who left before the first post credit scene. I was so confused why someone would make the effort to see the first screening and then not stick around. And boy was that mid credit scene worth it. We cheered, more than once!

@@Jo-fk1be We probably had about 60/70 people, it was a lot more than when I saw Black Widow on the same screen. Not sure how many they could have got in, it was hard to find available seats because we still have social distancing which meant there had to be two seats between each group. All the evening showings were fully booked, but I went at lunchtime having taken a day off work. It is normally a bit quieter then, unless it is a public holiday. There was a lot of loud laughing, some applause, and the occasional cheer.

Spoiler: I honestly think the end of this scene was pretty dark, how he remembered all the abuse this fighter put him through and decided to straight up murder him. I really loved this movie and this scene really stuck with me.

In his defence, death dealer tried to murder him as well. At the end of the fight, Shang thought about sparing him, but then came the memories and then he attempted to kill him. However, they may have just added that flash backs for more emotion.

Marvel has been filming in IMAX and they also incorporate 3D and 4D elements to them for a long time now. The MCU is focused on giving people a full movie theater experience that watching these films at home only, you miss out on the complete experience. The Bamboo maze scene was made for a 4D experience.

What a beautiful masterpiece of a movie. I just left the theater and, wow! I was blown away from how spectacular it is. The mid credit scene got me speculating and I am pumped to see more from Shang-Chi. Is it ironic that I saw this film with my dad?

Yesterday morning I watched Shang Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings in cinema and I literally say that this film is Insane.... Since 11 yrs I'm watching MCU and I feel this one is the best Solo Movie I've ever watched.... Loved it
