I watched it on Tom's channel for its Worldwide Premiere on Christmas Eve. Mind you, this is not about being a Pop song or whatever other music's genre, GHOST is his tribute to his endless love, his better half, his all-time sidekick/coworker/supporter/business associate, full-time partner in both work and life (actually, in every possible aspect of his life whether other words his Queen, the one and only : NOVA 👏🏼✨💖 He was anxious to play it on UKposts because it's not the type of flow people are associating him to, nonetheless he explained it is one of the most meaningful and heartfelt lyrics he has ever written in his career so far - knowing he has a whole lot of great work as well as a well deserved success in the many many years to come ahead of him - and sure enough, in the few hours right after he presented GHOST to us on a silver plate for its Worldwide Premiere, it started to be the focus of quite a few different channels on UKposts. The next 3 days, this song was on trend basically everywhere and deservedly so. The story behind it is actually truly cute, NOVA had told him she wanted him to do something for her and only her, not specifically a song track, only one thing that was not part of their routine... And so, he happily obligated, took a pen and paper, began to write down the real meaning of his life with her in it, his deepest feelings for her... His intent was to write a love letter to Nova, then he thought about it a bit more in depth and made up his mind : Tom decided to let the whole world know what Nova means to him and so, he created this song GHOST. By the way, at 6:24 time mark (in this video and not in the real video of the song), Tom mentioned both Paris and London, this part is so powerful it literally brought me to tears the very first time on the Premiere (my eyes were a tad bit teary when I listened to it a few times after as well... Go figure 🥺🤷🏽‍♀️😐) as he is referring to the terrorists attacks in these two cities in which he was or had just wrapped up his show during the tours he was on when these atrocities took place and by his side was his beloved Nova who instantly became his saving grace both times, helping him deal with the trauma and the aftermath of the psychological effects he had been impacted with. Tom has already established himself as an extremely talented and hard working artist and now he has shown to the World he doesn't stick to the same gene of music. So, it's not that he got out of his comfort zone but in fact that he is in his comfort zone regardless of the music's genres he has been/is/will keep evolving in/with, which says it all regarding his talent, work ethic and self-confidence 👏🏼✨👏🏼
