traffic in cs2 while better is not that much greater. tm:pe mod for cs1 has better traffic ai

Maybe it's the mod, the game is constantly being patched so the mods can have errors, try to remove/deactivate the mod or directly download the infinite demand mod which would be convenient more or less, if that doesn't work for you try Do it in a vanilla way, if that doesn't work either, maybe it's the game, if that doesn't work either, report the error

The population was at 30-40k. To get lots of freeway traffic you have to build a car oriented city. This means lots and lots of low density sprawl.

You can use the traffic simulation adjuster mod to remove the vanilla reduction to traffic amount.

@@381delirius and also keep the population low. As you get past 100k the traffic decreases a lot, and at a million it is non-existent

it is so dumb. that was one of the things i hatet most in CS1. They talked about how improft the Driving AI is now, but in reality, its a joke. wouldnt recommend to buy this game.

Still miles ahead of cs1 traffic. It's better to have the opportunistic behavior of cs2 that encourages overtaking rather than the over prepared behavior of cs1 that causes traffic to line up in a single file line and move nowhere (especially on local streets).

And keep in mind traffic in real life with this level of traffic density and following distance would be stop and go traffic.

if they ever make the same traffic manager mod from cs1 this wont happen anymore

Game sucked on the day it came out. Now the game is a lot better and runs at a comparable pace to heavily modded cs1.

@@381delirius I'll stick to Transport Fever 2 for now. I love organizing trains, planes and everything moving in the city, but planning for power usage and laying sewage pipes is boring. In TF2 the city grows on its own as you play.
