The one thing that people aren't picking up yet with Anderson is that he is showing signs of going too hard too early and starting to gas after 3 or 4 rounds. In some fights even earlier than that. I noticed it a few fights ago. With his build, that might be something that he just has to accept and deal with. I feel confident that when pushed deep into a fight for the first time in a 10 or 12 round fight, that will be made evident. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think that I am. If I am correct, he's going to have to start fights a hell of a lot slower, and it still might be a problem. That would mean that when he fights an elite boxer with a high work rate and a deep gas tank, he's going to be in big trouble late in fights. Of course, boxers now don't fight top competition because there '0' can't go even if that means they'll never become the fighters that they could be. It also disqualifies them from being considered all-time greats in my book. As it stands right now, at least in my book, that makes nearly every HW currently fighting as being under achievers, if not all. And yes, that includes Tyson Fury and A.J., even though Joshua might have the best resume at HW at the time of this comment. Usyk is the most skilled, but he has only had 4 fights in the division so unless he keeps it going, he should be known as a Cruiserweight for the most part even if he is Unified. He just came up and showed that the "bigger is better" mentality is simply incorrect and I'm glad that he did that because I've been saying that is the case for years. Anyway, we'll see with Anderson. I wish him the best and want him to become the next great HW, especially because I want the belts back in America where they were for 100 years until our best athletes stopped boxing and started playing in the NFL, NBA, and MLB. Sorry, but I'm not counting MLS. A normal part of the game is barely getting touched and then they act like they got hit with a tank's main gun. Seriously, it's gross. As an American, that's just not how we should be in any sport. Our relatively short history is one of extreme violence and bloodshed. I don't think we're going to shake that off any time soon. In fact, it would be a miracle if we did. I know, I'm getting abstract here but Soccer isn't a full American sport. If it were, there would be fights a lot more often. That's why hockey is cool with us. It doesn't matter if the game sucked so long as a few teeth were lost in the process. Cheers.
