6:43 the neighbor "statue" on the floor is used to create shadows in a cutscene that activates when you enter the basement, that also explains why the basement is so bright in this cutscene. Alpha 2 is my favorite alpha of hello neighbor lol

Hello Neighbor Alpha Speedruns are so interesting, even if some categories can be painful to practice, it's still a ton of fun and the strategies are sometimes cooler than full game, so thank you for talking about these builds and their speedruns!

Alpha 2 was actually a step up but besides that yeah. And in some ways Alpha 2 was a step down because the neighbor can't even get to you when you're upstairs because the staircase is blocked off! I just say it has a bit more logic because it doesn't have a trolley spinning around all over the house and has only 2 floors instead of 5.

I love alpha 1 and 2. They are simple, yet complex, and learning to go fast or simply adapt to the security makes for a fun experience, and alpha 1 encourages you to drop stuff off at your house to avoid having it taken from you when your caught by the neighbor. Great potential if only it wasn't ruined in the full release.

the reason hello neighbor was so popular to watch and play was because of just how many iterations of the game there were. playing, speedrunning, and comparing them is what made the game popular (and youtubers ofc)

@@plok4634 GT iirc did a video about it before they started begging, before the game was released. His theory was basically that the neighbor made a Deal with the Devil. I honestly prefer his theory over the actual game story, if only because im a sucker for Faustian Bargain stories.

Actually, the reason the player respawned in the same location they were in in Pre-Alpha was because if you get caught while leaning, then stop leaning after respawning, you'll teleport back to where you were before.

One glitch i found while playing hell neighbor on switch is i was on a plank then the neighbor used his vacuum on my but instead of pulling me off it launches me into the air allowing me to escape the first part

It’s honestly harder to break the trash can glitch in alpha 2 when I say break it it’s basically where you fly through doors and walls and I easily got the key and crowbar and was able to escape in 12 seconds

a way to speedrun alpha 3 (with glitches) is to go where u went but you would make it over the railing by crouch jumping than you would go to the door next to the couch than grab the chair then get the keycard and than u break the window with the chair you go to the railing and make a precise jump into a room than get the crowbar and thats it.

You could've shaved off a few seconds in Alpha 2 if you were holding throw on an item and then once you had an angle on the squidward door throw the item and it will activate the sequence

Would you do a Sonic CD video about scrapped zone called Mercury Mine? It's accesable in earliest Sonic CD prototype by changing code. I also think that Sonic stream is a present or good future of Mercury Mine.

You do know that you can just do the mannaquin challenge to get the Stun ability to stun the neighbour. Although it has a cool down so you can't do this repetitively. But it does stun the neighbour for a while.
