u asked in the vlog about why hot water freezes faster than cold water: it has a lot to do with the confinement of the particles. since cold water particles are more confined and closer together, it takes a bit more to freeze it. but since hot water particles are a lot more open and spread out, its easier for it to get frozen. think of it this way: if you were to huddle yourself into a ball or other people, you would be a lot warmer by making yourself as small as possible. keeping yourself alone and open, you get colder quicker. I'm really bad at explaining things but i hope this kinda makes sense lol.

You're pretty much the only person in these comments that I've seen come even remotely close to explaining that properly and in a way most people should be able to understand, without getting into the molecular physics behind it. I'd say you explained it pretty well, give yourself more credit! Yet sadly comments saying "broooooo r u dum??? hot water is 2 hot 2 freeze!" seem to be most of the top comments here... :( Stay in school kids!

Hot water freezes faster because the water it’s self is very warm but the air around it is much colder so the hot water would transfer it’s heat into the air because it would always try to reach equilibrium . Smile More :)

hot water freezes faster because the molecules for frozen water need to be very spread apart but the molecules for hot water are spread the widest possible without freezing cold water molecules are close together honestly is very hard to explain but that is the reasoning lol
