Get bg syncroshift for the trans and a shifter if the guy didn’t already set that up.

I've tracked my PP2 using 305 RE71R's and they are excellent, although Bridgestone has released a newer version. These are directional tires so you can only rotate front to back, unless you dismount them and flip the tire. Most have found 28 - 30 cold pressures are where you should start. The coil-overs will be a huge plus for track days as well as the bars for adjustment. The Getrag isn't horrible, it just isn't wonderful. Since you're not drag racing, powershifting is a waste so treat the transmission like you want it to last and I think you'll be fine. Some recommend replacing stock trans fluids with BG and I noticed smoother shifts after doing so. Do a brake flush, check the pads, set your track alignment and have fun. Seat time is everything.

Yea you have so much stuff in the car. It should feel a lot quicker once you take it out. Could also take out the back seat and the resonator if he already didn’t do that.

Looking to get one

Yes the Mustang GTs are "touring" - they could cruise at 100MPH - depending on local laws and enforcement ... all day long. The BOSS or the MACH1 or "higher end" have more performance and variable (adjustable) suspension. IRS is great an all, yet from what I understand the old S197 with a 'Wats link" added + a few more goodies does very well and even stock/factor Mustang GTs are good performers (though not top track performers). I have tested the S197 and previous models on busy highways and interstates and they do perform, esp with the 5SPD or 6SPD manuals - even despite the flaws or lack of "total handling/track packages", though Ford does offer many, many variants and after market is difficult to choose from - from a reliability, dependability, performance and cost perspective.

The 6SPD manual is many, many, many Mustang GTs are OK - you have to shift them "just right" ... or they will lock you out (during fast, firm shifting) or grind... (rarer). It is fairly forgiving and will typically handle a good bit more power than you get from the factory. I would not call it a "chinese shifter" as it is better quality, generally - it is simply not the "best". You can make it better with some quick mods, I hear ... thought the Tremec on the top end Mach 1 (2022+ ) and the newer GTs (maybe it is an option now?) and definitely the newer Dark Horse are all great! The problem for me, buying a Dark Horse is it would need to be convertible and also, I would need to buy some land and build/buy a 3+ car garage + hot tub (time machine not required, time machine fuel is pricy!). Maybe someday ... I will get a garage out west and stack some thoroughbreds in that barn!

i got mine 2019 mustang GT in 2019 for 28k with 9k miles its a orange fury and 10 speed with a spare tire lol then the market blew up

I honestly would be afraid to buy a used muscle car. I don't know how the previous owner treated the car. Were they using it to race? Or do donuts? Did they mistreat the engine? Etc

I know the salespeople talk a lot about "good" pricing, but when the sales guy delivered my 2017 GT he was so shocked that they even listed that car for $24k. That car lasted 30 minutes from being listed on their site, to me buying it. lol Definitely a great car for the price (and current market). Nice to see someone get the same car for the same price! Good pick up!
