Not being able to set the order of the apps on the homescreen is so apple like and it's anything but sweet.

I still think this device is not meant for average consumer use. Some of the cons you mention, would be fine in a corporate/industrial environment. Although, it's strange there's no language support. I guess the next update.

To re-enroll eyes and hands quickly you can ask Siri or quadruple press the top button. Hope this helps :)

I like that Apple is dipping their toes in the VR space... But there's a few reasons people still go with companies that have been in that space for 5+ years. I hope Apple can figure it out though, it would be nice to see another competitor in that area of tech.

I understand the idea of VR/AR headsets becoming a part of the productivity hardware scene. That may make sense at some point. However the price, the cumbersome nature of the headset, and the limited use case make this more of a headache than anything. It isn’t easier to travel with than a standard laptop. It isn’t more affordable than almost anything in the tech space. It looks a bit ridiculous when used in public. If it can be brought down to something even remotely close to standard glasses, maybe I could see this being a helpful travel accessory, and not much more. As it stands, this a solution looking for a problem. Apple is asking its users to pay in to be a part of their Research and Development team, instead of bringing a desirable, cost effective product to the market.

Glad that most of your complains can (but Apple, so who knows) be addressed in software updates. This device feels like the iPhone with no 3g and ATT only. Or the Macintosh with 128kb of RAM and no fixed storage.

I also would like a Japanese keyboard (as a learner who uses the keyboard increasingly on other devices), and the ability to use more than one desktop extension from Mac. There is support for virtual desktops (spaces) on MacOS, hopefully that is just a visionOS thing and not some hardware limitation. I was actually strongly planning to buy, but I can't in this current state. Price is only a smaller factor, but it more so because of so many missing features. I can wait and re-examine when visionOS is updated. I don't think a non "Pro" or Pro 2 version will happen for several years, I'm not trying to wait that long. Many of the Apple haters or people who just straight up can't afford this thing speak as if they want this product to fail, I think that would be worse overall for advancement and adoption. Adoption in not the dystopian feature sense, I mean appealing enough for people want to use and see as beneficial.

Number 1 without competition is limited operating system. It should've been macOS fork instead of iPadOS fork. macOS LaunchPad is AVP ready, macOS settings app is AVP ready. We know why it's not, Apple wants that sweet App Store tax + they want you to spend money on Mac in addition to AVP.

First let me say I am a fan of Apple and I like your videos and main thing is that I have iPhone 15 pro, Apple watch ultra,iPadPro12.9 M1, Macmini M1, Macbook Pro 14 M2 Max..... but I am tired sick of all reviews for this device that first: it's crap compared to other VR devices, second: not available even here in Japan, third: way too much expensive for a device that I would say a beta release device, it lacks a lot of functionalities, fourth: as the Pro display is out of the rach for most of common Apple users ... without saying 2 hrs battery is ridicoulous and no other language support is absurd. If you come Tokyo let me know!😀

Yeah, this is NOT the future. It's all superficial hype. Yes the tech is cool but if the form factor doesnt drastically get smaller in the next couple years, this device is just too inconvenient. Why would I use this big chunky headset, if I can pull out my phone to do the same thing with more convenience. It just takes waaay too long to set the vision pro up compared to a phone or laptop that you can whip out from your pocket/bag and use it right away. There is just way too many cons to this device compared to what we have now. Price, accessibility, convenience, isolation are too big of cons for this to take off. Like yes in very niche situations, sure yeah its better, but for the average consumer? Would they really put this big ass headset on just to watch a movie ALONE? Nah

I wouldn’t say it “failed” per se. I just think Apple needs to work on it more and make it affordable for the average consumer base. As for the failed aspect of it, I suppose the initial launch is a fail in terms of sales but even then, lots of tech people bought it. They just need to make it so that the average man can buy one without having to mortgage their house lmao

3500 for a gimmick is insane but I can see where they are probs going with this

1. The processor M2 for the cost should be M2 Max 2. Can’t connect anything into it iPhone,hard drive,Switch,Xbox etc… 3. Pass through looks like the iPhone camera. Needs higher quality with larger sensors 4. Needs image stabilization too shaky 5. Battery 6. No Netflix or UKposts app 7. Needs some kind hand controller instead of using hands

Apple being terrible at UX? I'm so shocked. Why do people think Apple is user friendly? I've heard people say that and It's so far from reality. You have UX as one entry but this whole video is about UX. The eye tracking calibration not being on the quick menu. The low battery. The comfort of the device. The lack of being able to share the device. These are all under UX design. The Vision Pro feels like a Prototype they threw out to market. Not a premium item worth 3500 dollars.
