Sand & Gravel Shop should be placed RIGHT next to the hourglass, and you should have advertising at the Big Wood hourglass that you are selling sand right next door. Since Doc is making his shops sell wood for sand instead of diamonds. And with the amount of diamonds that’s sure to get you, and how Doc is using it as a currency, maybe you should style it as a Bank? Maybe call it something related to Sand Dollars? Or you could style it as a Bar. Because Sand Bars.

The base blooben test: for context, blooben is grians word for blueberry. With that knowledge, it is clear that it is asking whether your item, in this case mobs, is similar to a blueberry. It must meet two main criteria to pass the test: it must be edible and round. It is edible, as there are many edible mob drops, and it is round (slime/magma cube balls). Hey Scar, I don't know if anyone said it yet, but on the herbivore cart, in the empty spot by the loading dock, you could put a barrel full of apples. You can achieve this by putting red corral block with water underneath it and spruce trapdoors around it. You could also add some invisible item frames with apples around it! I know that cOW would love some fresh apples of the train!

For your storage, there's a few mobs that do items. Allays (blue pixies) pick up items and sort them. Sniffers dig up items. I think Allays living in a storage place seems about right, possibly the same place as sniffers. The sniffers dig up the items, and the allays sort the items. Shulker boxes can be coloured too, making them great for decorative blocks. A shulker farm is possible too.

Scar storage solution: Go to a (very organised) neighbour. Tell them you have a gift for them. Gift them everything you own. Whenever you need items, visit their storage system. Trouble free and easy! For you anyway

Two words: Freight Cars. Trains transport large volumes of goods. Maybe make a smaller scale storage system and have a few cars to store things interspersed with your zoo cars. Separate items into categories/carsand make themed cars. You could come up with some wacky themes instead of just "ores" and "Woods" Maybe go by biome to illustrate that it has been everywhere?

I have an idea for the form for the new permit. If you prepare a book with every different yes or no for every option, it may be enough to overwhelm Grian into either just giving you the permit to get you off his back, or doing more permit work, which he hates. You can also try to put him on hold back.

Hi, Scar. I'm a pretty redstone heavy player, but not very into automated storage. Like, I do enjoy walking around a storage hall, knowing when everything is stored and doing it manually. For such a creative and talented builder as yourself, I would recommend a themed storage area, with different rooms for different type blocks. That's always a very organic and intuitive way to make it work.

scar the problem with your storage is not the chests, it's not the shulkers, it's the AMOUNT OF STUFF YOU HAVE LAYING AROUND! if you put BULK ITEMS in full shulkerboxes and put the shulkers INSIDE OF A CHEST you could probably use a third of the chests that you currently use. you dont have to sort out junk items often but the chests upon chests of cobble and deepslate and wood and sand etc could be shrunk down so much. (unless you have too much fun creating the chestmonster in which case go ahead and horrify us every time we look at that mess because how does that even happen otherwise XD)

Scar, you’re always praising Bdubs for being an artist in Minecraft but you are on another level. The way you’re able to make your train look so cohesive even though each car is used for a different thing and you make static block look like they’re moving (the tree branches blowing in the wind) is insane. In the blank spot of the herbivore cart you should add a well/fountain or small pond! So it’s like you’re also transporting/distributing water to the animals! And maybe for the other corner of the pumpkin side of the cart there could be honey drips coming off the side? Like too much was stored at some point and it overflowed?

Maybe fill that empty space in the greenhouse car with a scarecrow? It could help to keep those pesky snails away from your crops! And you could maybe even make it with a custom armor stand!

Yellow Candles can look Banana-esque if you wanted to put those on the tree. Idk if anything else has that banana look all by itself. You could also use lime candles to be under ripe bananas, or brown/black candles to be over ripe bananas. If you could find a way to isolate the gold part of a gold pickaxe you could also use those and maybe a bit of a piece of coal or a colored candle at the end to be the ‘bottom’ of the banana? (Candle could be black or brown or even yellow as long as the wick stands out.) A problem with that is that gold pickaxe heads are uh.. kind of big to be bananas. Those are just my initial thoughts. Sand and gravel shop ? A big hourglass, bigger than doc. And you stock the sans on the top part. Client press a button and the sand fall and break in front of the customer. With a redstone system reloading the center column with the sand on the side

I cant put it into words, but scar's builds always look so "alive". For example, the train looks like it could just start it's engine and ride off into the sunset at anytime. The train has to be one of the best builds I have seen on the hermitcraft server. Absolutely, STUNNING!

1) the Herbivore car needs a well to easily water the crops. But it has to be small, travel sized, because it’s on a train. Try a pot hanging on a chain? 2) storage solution is to pay Pearl to do it again. 😅 You could haul any excess materials into Magic Mountain and establish a communal storage center for all the building blocks you don’t need to keep.

Good thought! The crops definitely water, but a well only works if it can be dug to groundwater. What about a water storage tank with a sprinkler system?

Scar, you're the best. I love watching your content. While you talked about how you've been trying to take care of your body, I'm reminded of myself. Now, my issue (depression) isn't the same thing of course, so I'm not comparing that, but with depression it's really hard to care for myself sometimes.... I came up with a thing I say to myself now...."wow- this tamagotchi is super needy today!" And then I smile and do like I did when I was a kid (yep - I dated myself) and feed the tamagotchi, "play with" (probably some Minecraft mining), and clean up it's poop. 🤣 So if that helps anyone else, please feel free to steal the reference and amuse yourself with nonsense. Sometimes you gotta do the nonsensical to make it thru the really hard stuff. I watched Gem's already - so I know how you'll handle those pesky snails.... that's epic Scar genius right there. 🖤

Scar, I have got it! The Permit Office! I know something Grian can't resist being helpful about, even if it kills him! ... You might need to enlist the aid of some other hermits to set it up and make it happen. But all you have to do is install a "new permit" BUTTON in the office! Something that by pressing, Grian acknowledges you've filled the form out correctly, and that he will get you the new permit. Grian can't resist pushing a button!

You could make a fun scam minigame with the “mending” pickaxe bug where you bet you can dig a hole with a wooden pick faster than a netherite pick. And right after you start you throw a bunch of xp bottles at the persons feet causing their pick to become unusable.

0:30 Whenever the pickaxe gets repaired by mending, it twitches in your hand. I guess this interrupts any block breaking. As the shulker box gets mined instantly, this was possible.

For a storage idea: You could make a "Restock station" right there beside the tracks that has your storage room inside, but outside it looks like there are supplies to be loaded onto the train. Supplies from food, items, or even animals!

The blank area on the train cart might be a good spot to make a like fake tree (or planter?) that is growing glow berries… those would look neat and add a bit of natural light. (Still annoyed that they neither grow naturally, nor can be made into a light source once harvested… but, hey, RP is free.)
