We add a new car to the train and expand the railroad track all the way to Magic Mountain! We meet up with lots of Hermits and get into some shenanigans in the neighborhood.

I think we can all agree that there is no compromise when it comes to Scar's health. Leaving the back of a build for a stream so you're not awake until 4am sounds a heck of a lot better than Scar running himself into a hospital stay just so we can have a video to watch. I love that you've decided to take it a little slower this season scar.

I love the train horn that Tango made for your train. However, that horn sound is from an electric-diesel engine, and your train is a steam engine, which I feel should have a steam whistle.

Mobs have always been able to climb ladders. Remove the bottom ladder, so you have to jump onto it, to stop mobs.

I'm pretty sure they haven't. You used to able to make protection ditches. When i was first learning minecraft my uncle told me i could dig a ditch that was 2 wide the furthest from the door being only one block deep and then 2 blocks and it worked as they couldn't climb ladder or jump up blocks. That was in an old version but i also recall Grian being very surprised when a creeper climbed a ladder in season 8. Although, I may be wrong or misremembering and they have

@@hanniballz.Scar even got a creeper jumpscare in his season 8 "starter" Base when a creeper climbed up from the lower section of his wagon. Or maybe it was Grian messing through Scar's stuff who was jumpscared.

Mobs don't *intentionally* pathfind up ladders, but if they wind up with their feet pressed against them they're forced to climb. Since the rail is higher than the surrounding ground, mobs know they'll be closer to Scar there. And that's where the ladder is, so they touch it and climb. And yeah, breaking the bottom ladder will solve it. There was a very interesting setup last episode where mobs could climb despite there not being a bottom ladder, but that was a special case where the mobs thought they could jump through the ladders and trapdoors to stand on a dirt block.

Scar, before too much of the nether is developed you may want to reserve a section in the nether for your nether only mob portion of your zoo seeing as a couple of them can not go into the overworld without converting. A hoglin and pig guy indoor zoo section linked to a building in the zoo via nether portal like a security door?

I love how season 10 feels so communal. Between the fishing and the dropping by unannounced it's really cool to watch. Sure, everyone has some solo time to work on mega builds but the adventures so far have been a delight. This train is looking awesome, and now there's going to be a mail system?! we're eating GOOOOD this season!

i love that many of the hermits are taking themselves into consideration this season, like scar, grain, and iskall, to avoid burnout and just be healthier overall. i think it'll make this season really great :)

A Mail Car on the train would be a great spot. The cars are big enough and the rails wide enough that it would be able to hide the inner workings under the middle, probably. It could even be hidden inside the Tinderbox (coal car) to keep it close to your main area.

10:22 - "There's something more fun about Walkie Talkies" I always thought it'd be fun if walkie talkies were in the voice chat mod as the way to do a group chat. It would take an inventory slot, that's a problem, but I think it would be a fun bit of flavor. The audience and other players would be able to see it in your hand , maybe it would have a bit of audio processing on it to make it sound like a radio, I just think it'd be a nice bit of theatrics

Artists embracing sustainable schedules will always be something I support. Take the time you need, I’d rather slow progress than rapid burnout any day! Plus an easier pace allows us to really appreciate the breadth of detail you put into your works. Like those observers? I never would have spotted that, nor thought to use them in that way.

I might be a little late, but I think in terms of trees- maybe mostly thin, tall or smaller pine-esque trees? And maybe once in a while, I mean RARELY, pop a giant redwood in there. Or maybe a redwood stump. Maybe the forest has been desolated before you settled here, and it's part of your mission, as well as collect and take care of animals, to rebuld the environment! Also- since this is a protected nature reserve, and Grian snuck in, stole some critters, and re-located them (most likely with the intention of killing them eventually, after breeding), doesn't that make him a POACHER? And ENEMY of the Scar Zoo?? Food for thought!!

You can destroy the bottom ladder on the train so that mobs can't use it. Any mob can use a ladder, but having the lowermost part removed keeps them from traveling up it. It's not too uncommon to see it in starter farms dug into the ground.

Not any mob can use a ladder. For example creepers can't use ladders (anymore) because they don't have arms

I absolutely support a healthy amount of sleep, which is especially important when one has other health challenges. The slower pace of this season is refreshing. No one should have to crank out enormous megastructures on a regular basis to keep people watching. I like that Hermitcraft is turning away from that sort of content and getting back to its roots of a group of friends just enjoying playing Minecraft with each other.

One thing I absolutely love about the Hermits living close by and posting videos at different times is that you get little sneak peaks of some of their builds before they've actually posted. Like at 16:05 you can see more of Grian's build that he hasn't posted yet.

Hi Scar! My dad is a huge train fan and he looked over my shoulder at your video. He wanted me to warn you that a 90’ turn on a train track will cause a derailment. Yea, and projects like decked out 2 are amazing, but the fine times were often watching etho sit around in a whole when his jedi mind tricks weren't working, and when gem was punching everyone in the lobby. You can make a hole and a lobby without making the rest of decked out.

I'm happy Scar is taking care of himself more and maintaining a good work life balance. Don't burn yourself out to make entertainment that is always bigger. Right now it feels nice that it takes time and to see the interactions between hermits. It's just so fun that this season there is a lot more interactions and having fun together ❤️

Not sure whether to point out that those worthless blocks typically being very profitable for Scar when he makes a redstone shop or that they're responsible for producing a lot of the building materials he gets from the shopping district. I suppose the latter is a bit like not wanting to know how the hot dog is made. Great joke, though. Scar trolling the redstoners is pretty hilarious.

In the 90s animated show Biker Mice from Mars, the plutonians (the fish-people from Pluto) have a special greeting of doing a butt-to-butt dance, even when communicating via life-size video-calls. It's a great, if a bit odd, show and I love it

Hey Scar! I love the build so far but I do have a suggestion for the train tracks. As a transportation nerd, the 90 degree turn that the track makes at the end is not realistic as trains would not be able to make that turn, for trams it would be but not for trains. If you want to increase the realism even more, than I suggest making the turn bank as that is common with train turns, love the video Scar, much love ❤

As Scar already explained in season 4 the mesa train, he knows that. but the combination of blocks doesn't allow a smoother turn. Back in the day he cheated by hiding the tracks in a tunnel. I'm gonna take a wild guess here, I think he might do something similar here.

He’s building train cars on the track tho. If he wanted to curve the track realistically, he’d have to build the train cars on a variety of diagonals- very difficult and not very pretty This is the classic Minecraft minecart curve anyway

Scar truly is the most stressful hermit to watch. getting caught in a death loop last episode. Almost having the same thing happen again. And then getting creepered ten seconds later, and not healing immediately. It's thrilling to be honest.

I absolutely love watching all of the hermits different perspectives, but something that always makes me grin are the random little moments in between the bits of content like Scar and Gem coaching Skizz into making jumps, or trying on Impulse's beard, and honestly cheering when he gets it! Just the little friendship moments among the hermits are just great. :)

Plenty of room for a secret chest monster on the inside of the coal car, but otherwise you're going to have to do a full-on cargo car behind the farm car (maybe even feeding in from some automated farms?). Possibly multiple cargo cars. Maybe you could do a station with a mail arm and water tower, and THAT could be your storage system. Nice and big, lots of room, feeding in from your mailbox. Stay healthy Scar! There's no good times with scar if Scar's in the hospital with yet another infection brought about by minecrafting until 4 am.
