For some reason,Zhang was extremely dehydrated and his kidneys began to fail during the fight. He also had very low iron levels and we learned he was anemic. He was rushed to the hospital and wasn’t released for three days.

Great heart and determination from Forrest. After the confused and hesitant performance against Takam, he needed to show something, even some desire, and he sure did that. As for Zhang, the power was as advertised, and his shot selection and technique was quite impressive before he gassed out. But that gas tank....he seems a bit long in the tooth to start doing anything about that.

I was so entertained by this match but the funny thing was every time Jerry Forrest went down, my buddies and I were looking away. After the third knockdown, my eyes were glued to the screen. Jerry Forrest had an amazing comeback. Can’t wait to see him step in the ring again.

The referee deserves credit for allowing it to continue, most referees have their minds made up before the fight begins that whichever fighter gets in trouble first they're stopping the fight and calling it a night.
