Evil staff may be the original, but he has many flaws 1: cant hold a candy bowl 2: regularly causes bad luck (cant have that happen when handing out edibles) 3: can cause dangerous magic (cant have that happen with children present) Ghoul was too timid, skeleton has nothing going for it but dancing, and evil staff is too much of a wild card. The ghost is the safest pick
