For Example, take a walk down the streets of L.A. at that time period, the streets were cleaner, people dressed up more and were classier, and blacks and Latinos were not as homeless as they are today, for Gay population, AIDS didn't exist yet, so it probably was better in some ways for them too. If you looked at music vidoes even from the 1970's there's many accounts of Blacks, Whites, Latinos making music together! some of the best music came from their collaborations!
