Nice how you guys skip Africa, when talking about wine and beer. I swear in the west, you would think that history happens only in Europe, Asia(Western and Eastern) and with Native Americans, but the 2nd most populous continent on earth they pretend that NOTHING happened there for centuries until Europeans and Arabs show up, especially South of the Sahara. And written sources cant be a problem because SOME of the cultures they talk about in the Americas don't have a written language. There's Palm wine, banana beer, millet beer, tej mead, etc. There's gods of beer in various Bantu cultures.

Yeah, like, I dont understand why our male ancestors hated women so much. Even in ancient times did they find every excuse and fight tooth and nail to the best of their power just to hold women down, to fuel the delusion that men were somehow "superior". Its only VERY recently that women are finally breaking the shackles of men's control over them, and as we can so to this very day, some men are fighting to push them down with oppressive legislation in the USA, such as the anti-abortion law. It's pathetic, horrible, and depressing to say the least.

That is definitely a sad motif throughout the ages when it comes to many things, yes... Although... In this particular case... One might actually argue that - barring a (relatively) brief couple o' centuries' hiatus at the end of the last millennium - women have overwhelmingly dominated the art of brewing for all of recorded history; To the extent that even the very deities who presided over the craft, were exclusively female.

I also wouldn’t be much of a mick if I couldn’t enjoy a Guinness, but my favorite all around is probably Smithwicks Red ale. The taste is so good it’s not super high in content either. 6:00 Of I recall correctly, the uprising in Oxford was because (drunk?) students accidently killed a woman with bow and arrow.

@@angelicart.6 it's kind of an insult... She must have been very bashful and stoic... So people called her behind her Back something akin to :" Mister Kate"

@@Rawkwilder I know it sounds like an insult, but I found it fascinating to hear someone call a woman a “mister”, a “man”. Gives me hope that a woman, to this day, is able to fight to be respected. Not in the sense of feminism, as it probably sounds, but the fact that exist women that use their brain and their strength, instead of their body to gain respect. I think that a woman who is being told she acts “stoic” or stuff, is actually using her brain to demonstrate herself. I’d say is that, that makes it fascinating for me.
