I’m very experienced with children and one of the things I’ve noticed is that the kids whine far too often. They do so because you quickly respond to them when they do. This reinforces the whining, which can escalate quickly. Instead, try to increase responding positively when they speak appropriately. Don’t just jump in and suddenly/only respond this way; instead, start subtly and slowly increase positive responses and decrease responding to the negative. You’ve worked really hard with them! 🎉😊

I 100% understand how you felt when the woman screamed what she did, but Channon you don't live in LA or Cali anymore. Country people, especially in the south do carry weapons on them. Please don't attempt to confront anyone, you'll never change someone like that's opinion no matter how much you try. Your safety and that of the kids is all that matters. Don't waste your precious energy on someone else's arrogance. ❤

Those seeds in the library are in old card catalogs that we used to have to use before the internet existed. The only way we used to get information was to go to the library and look up books in these old card catalogues. Putting seeds in them was an interesting idea.

HOLY MOLY! That view looks like a PAINTING HONESTLY! That is GORGEOUS! The kitchen is going to be my favorite room. And all those thrift store finds-AMAZING! I just got a plant from Amazon of limbs for a vase-50.00. You got an entire plant for 5. Geez! The table is so pretty too. And with delivery?! Such a kind man to do that. I just love when people treat each other with kindness-he will have terrific karma-just as you will Channon. The fact that the lady wouldn't talk to you face to face just proves what a coward she is. Oh my gosh!! I’m so excited about the kitchen remodeling. I can’t wait to see it all completed. Also a idea for you. I remember you always said you want to have a little office build for your site down videos and craft and sewing to get away like if you going to work. I don’t know if the house has and a shed you can remodel to an office. You can use that table you bought as your office desk because is long and wide enough to put anything on top for the use you need. Like if you sewing you have the space you sewing and cutting, if you Film you have the space for the camera and laptop. But also you can get the kids out the house and used it for schooling they can site and you teach them the be out of the house out from distraction. Also pls don’t torture us without day’s posting videos. I’m always coming up here looking for your videos and I see nothing 😔 💔 that says a lot. I’m bored nothing good on tv or social media. 🤭😝🤣 love you ❤

I remember one time at Ulta there was a lady with 2 kids and one was screaming, crying. We were in a check out line. It was annoying but I did not say anything because that mom looked like she was having a really hard day and you can tell that she went to Ulta for her own sanity. But the lady in front of me started lecturing her and she was looking at me like waiting for me to support her. I did not say anything because I was not in position to criticize poor mom. Now when I am a mom, I totally get that mom ! She was stressed and was probably ready to cry and decided to go somewhere to have fun other than a playground and I also think of the lady who was criticize her, she was a totall b**** like , as a woman, you should understand how hard it is to do it all and keep your sanity. Sometimes I want to go to a grocery store and just cry. So I am so glad back then, I did not support that b**** witch 🧹

The “melon baller” is actually a cookie scoop (make cookie and drop onto cookie sheet using this scoop) or ice cream scoop.

It's yard sale season!! It's an adventure and you find great things and meet lots of people. What you think is a melon baller is actually an ice cream scoop and/or a meatball scoop. That's why there is a lever to get the ice cream out of the scoop. Also, I had open shelving for a while but after 2 years could not take it any longer. Dust and bugs, that's all I have to say on that matter.

When my kids were young, if they ever had any tantrum in public (my daughter did this a lot when she was 3, thought id never be able to go out again...shes 25 now and is more mature than me lol) I would immediately take them outside. Now being a mom of older kids 25, 21, 13 if I hear any kids screaming in a store, I never stare at them, or if I walk by I smile and im just happy that that's not me bc I've been there, so people need to be nicer. I was on the phone in trader joes one day (I hate talking on the phone anyway ) and I just have a loud voice and this man comes over to me and tells me to keep my voice down (rudely) bc we're in a public place. Umm excuse me?! My son and I walked right out so TJ missed out on a sale. People are rude and if my son hadn't have been there, this guy would have had a piece of my mind!

Being a mama with a child who has Autism I totally understand the meltdowns... It can be very stressful and sometimes embarrassing This is why other ppl need to mind their own business because they don't understand the situation... Until you have a child on the spectrum you have no idea how hard and stressful it can be at times Keep up the good work mama you doing amazing ❤

Ugh people are so rude. I once had a lady come up to me I was a brand new mom had those baby socks on my new born daughter and the had fallen off well this lady came up and said “hi cold feet. “ Another incident happend when I wax pregnant with my 3 kid and I was crossing the street some lady yells out of the car window “ stop having kids” people are just plain rude That lighter table does look good with the chairs

Omg channon! My finger does that too! It’s my middle finger on my right hand and it happens when I sleep so I’ll wake up and it’ll be bent and I freak out, so I got these like ace bandage things for your fingers from Amazon. I put one on every night so it’ll stop my finger from bending and locking while I sleep. I looked up my symptoms and it looks like I have trigger finger that really can only be fixed by surgery🙄

Kids know all the buttons to push especially when you're on the toilet. Also, strangers need to mind their own business. The last thing you need when your child is having a complete melt down is a stranger just mom shaming you in front of the whole store like that. Then not owning up to it. Which ones worse an adult stranger throwing a tantrum about a child on the spectrum having a melt down or a child that can't help it & is on the spectrum having a melt down? Some people are so out if touch with humanity.

I love that you gentle parent. I can totally relate! My daughter (9 years old now) has had SPD since she was about 2, and had major melt downs in stores from being over stimulated. It was awful for both of us, and I felt so embarrassed when it would happen. I'm sorry someone was being rude about Storm's melt down. People can be so rude!

Channon you should check out Triple P parenting as a mom of 4 kids 3 of them on the spectrum it was a great book to use as a resource for kids on the spectrum the best thing i found when my kids had a meltdown or tantrum is to re direct him /her if they insisted they wanted a bike id say ok well we cant have that bike its too big but you know what lets go look at other bikes or even better lets go and look at the bikes you have at home as far as confronting people dont bother it will exhaust you

The lady in the thrift store was either one of three types of people. 1. Doesn't have kids and so frankly doesn't understand that is normal behavior. 2. Crazy 3. Very traditional, old fashion No nonsense. Very cold. Kind of parenting. I don't think gentle parenting is always attainable or even sometimes the best choice. But I feel like from what I've heard you handled it the right way and that lady simply just is too sensitive and maybe should not go out so often because you know there's other people in the world who are not going to be quiet as a mouse.

People have no grace for children. They’re still people, with emotions and feelings, etc. Imagine being three. The world is a confusing place. You don’t know things are supposed to work. Other parents (I hope) would mind their own. Atleast that’s what I do when I’m in a store. 🫶🏻
