It did not do well in the box office and it was not good if you don't care about superheroes so muvh you want all aspects of the consept explored. And there was even more death and destruction caused by the villain there while he was supposedly sympathetic.

My comment makes perfect sense if you think about it. If you usually like superhero films you are likely to find the exploring of the genre of villains perspective interesting. Other people won't since the film isn't good. The box office objectively was bad. And this video critized destruction in Despicable Me films and Megamind has much more by the protagonist who is supposedly sympathetic.

I wish someone would remake the originals and some newer Rayman games. But Ubisoft wants to make Assassin Creed sequels until the heat death of the universe. I'm still bitter Yahtzee didn't put Unity on worst of 2014, but he put Lightning Returns on there despite nobody remembering that game.

I never understand the folks who disrespect Megamind. I saw it when it came out and have watched it damn near a hundred times since. I love it! It's really cute, well done, great message. I think it just came out at the wrong time. Had it come out without having to compete against Despicable Me and Monsters vs Aliens, I think everyone one else would love it, too. 🤗

The best thing about Megamind was how they made the audience reexamine the roles of the Hero and Villain, and what makes either what they are. Megamind was pressured to be the villain many thought he was meant to, but he was still a person who hurt and felt and sympathized and wanted to be accepted.

I actually enjoyed Megamind. It had a totally different dynamic to despicable me. It actually catered more to an older audience by addressing Hal’s entitlement with Roxanne (highlighting a common “but I’m the nice guy” trope which actually happens a lot more in real life than people realise) and showing Megamind’s midlife identity crisis.
