If you like actor who plays Homelander, i cant recommend enough tv series Banshee. Its brutal show with Antony Starr in main role with actually good story and badass characters.

I've never been actually scared by a villain before Homelander. His smile gives me chills. Antony Starr is killing it.

I disagree. There are no superheroes that are "meant to be" anything. That's why there are different iterations of them all the time.
