The Xiaomi usable screen area has preferable sharper corner bezels. The notch on the Huawei is annoying, even if you change the screen settings, to not include it in the viewable area.

If you need it for movies/UKposts only then the 8X Max. If you gonna use it as a phone then Max 3.

Saturation - Max 3, Quality - both same, Brightness - 8X. They're pretty much the same - overall pretty good but the black glows in the dark.

Nice speed test. On the video it looks like the screen is more vibrant on the Mi Max 3, but the 8x Max might just be more off axis...is this the case in person? Thx.

It always looks different of camera, but the screen is just a bit better overall on the Max 3.

Ok, just press and hold on the home screen, then Settings, then Home Layout. That's how you change the grid. For the DPI - Developer Options - Smallest width - 390dp

Great video! Could you make sure whether wifi calling is available on the 8x max ? It's unfortunately not supported on Max 3.. And nobody talks about it 😅

Because mi max is metal case. And honor 8x max is glass back panel thats why you can feel the heat on back of mi max. I lile this review. Nice one

Hi there, I just got the Mi Max 3 and it's WONDERFUL. I'm in the USA and i get constant 4g in South Texas BUT Im having WIFI problems at home. It recognizes the WIFI but it wont stay connected after 5 mins. It keeps on going back to my data and I have to manually put it back. Have you heard of this problem and do you have a solution?

@@VoloKinProject I called ATT & they came out and gave me a new router and WiFi booster and so far so good. So I will wait a few more days and come back and change my critique. It might have been weak signal in my house.

Don't understand why storing applications into temporary memory is classed as not good? You wouldn't make a phone call while gaming right, or even use your phone primarily for Facebook right then flushing your memory would be far more important.

The dimming on Honor 8X Max was because battery level was at 19%, it happens below 20% on auto brightness

It was the phones first charge so it had to be completely discharged. Why does that matter to you anyway?

@@VoloKinProject because modern phones enter a eco mode under 20% and a deep eco at 10% batt, also i would not be surprised if the LED backlight to the LCD pannel will decrease as battery drains in a Huawei phone...

Only Honor/Huawei phones do that especially when battery saver is off. Literally with every other phone off means off.

@@VoloKinProject a white LED backlight usualy lights at more than 3 volts, a lithium battery works from 2.8 to 4.2 volts , so when we`re talking about Huawei i`m prettysure you`ll see a light drop when battery drains, even a test is pointless (thus your clip) when Huawei admitted they cheat tests , saying "everybody does it"...

Auto dimming is a famous issue with Huawei devices, the Nitpicker ( Damian) reviewed many times in his channel

You mean Damir. Usually the auto dimming is in the browser and UKposts but I think it's a restricting measure in that particular phone as the SD636 doesn't run properly for some reason. That's why they removed the gestures I believe.

side note, check my google cam compare between max 2 and 3 www.mobile01.com/topicdetail.php?f=634&t=5592132 max 3 using samsung s5k2l7 which is equivalent to sony imx 362 (exactly same spec same tech), 362 is used for reputable photo phones like Pixel 2 / 2XL / HTC U11...etc so Max 3 with root + google cam will be much much much better quality than 8X Max

I have the both, and can tell you the xiaomi mi max 3 is way better, have it now 2 years love it, The huawei is a beautiful phone bud have alot of problems. Xiaomi dont have any problem !
