Honor 9X is not officially announced that Honor 9X to be waterproof.
There are two ports that water is most likely to slip inside the phone: charging port and SIM card port. So, I made watering tests on these 2 ports. And I found that running water can easily enter the phone.
In the immersion test, my Honor 9X stayed in the water for a few seconds, bubbles kept coming out of the phone. I opened up the battery cover and check the water damage inside. There was a lot of water on the motherboard and in the loudspeaker.
My suggestion is: Honor 9X is not IP68 water-resistant. Don’t put the phone in water and pay attention to the SIM card slot where is the weakest against water.
