Hi nate! So awesome to see you camping in Texas! Very nice property your friend matt has. Walnut is actually a very nice hard wood to burn. it's got a medium flame and, it gives off a very nice sweet smell. Nice to see you interacting with the critters out there and camping out in a different environment so far away from home. Sure you had the best time. Welcome to my home state! I hope you enjoy your time here. I have lived in Texas my whole life and I've never seen the ice like you saw that morning. I guess it's in certain areas of Texas, I not sure. I live in east Texas and maybe that's why I've never seen it. It does look like onion lol. If you'd been here a week ago you could have got some snow and ice video. But I know you get plenty of that where you're from lol. Enjoyed watching, looking forward to the next one!

He was very tame and entertaining! I didn’t catch anything on the game cam unfortunately. A deer ran by camp an hour after shutting it off though!

Those abandoned houses up on the hill are as creepy as heck...... the whole landscape is eery, but super cool. Loved the mallard duck though, so cute, we have heaps of them in Australia too, they are pretty funny creatures 😂

They are a little eerie looking aren’t they? It would be interesting to do an overnighter in one! The landscape there is very nice. I’m used to pine trees but the cedar and oak have a beauty all their own! The duck was a pleasant surprise for sure! Thanks for watching.

Being allergic to trout is very unusual. Never knew that would be an issue. This trip was quite a change from your usual content.

Yeah, it’s really strange. I can’t find much about the condition online either. This video was a big change for sure! It was a special trip though. I’ll be back with more snow camping in February!

Thanks for visiting my channel! That grate was heavy. I didn’t catch anything on the game camera but a white tail deer ran by my tent an hour after I shut it off the next morning!

Great video, there's nothing like the sound of nature and running water, we have a lot of mallards here in the UK, problem is people feed them bread which isn't good for them. Be nice if you could camp in one of those buildings.

Do you break out on your hands only when you touch live trout? You can touch and eat cooked trout without any reaction?

Yes, it’s only when I touch live trout. Once they are cooked I can touch/eat them with no issues. I can’t find anything online about it either. It’s weird lol.

It’s strange that it only started developing at 15. I caught trout since I was a small kid with no problems. A shot might help. I’ll have to look into that!

It was just a Duraflame fire starter. I had to buy that giant one when I got to Texas because I couldn’t bring my small ones on the plane. It’s meant to be used all at once to start larger fires but I split it in half to use it for starting two smaller fires.
