Hot Tent Snow Camping In Old Growth Forest | Wood Stove Cheese Steak

День томуOn this adventure I went hot tent snow camping in old growth forest. I've always wanted to hot tent camp here in the snow. Many of the trees are hundreds of years old and hundreds of feet tall. The forest gives off an eerie vibe but it is absolutely stunning to see. It snowed almost non stop the entire trip and temperatures stayed around 23 F (-5 C). I cooked up some delicious cheese steak sandwiches on the wood stove for dinner and had scrambled eggs for breakfast. Before I packed up I got to play around with the Dwarf Telescope made by TinyScope. It worked surprisingly well and I can't wait to use it somewhere with an actual view. Man, this was great! Thanks for making and posting. So beautiful and peaceful. I was amazed at all the cool kit you have. Especially that stove and stove pipe. I couldn't believe it, Philly cheese steak subs in the middle of the forest! That was awesome. What an amazing homestead for the night. Looked so cozy with the nice fire.

You make it look so easy to unpack, find wood, cook, and then pack all of your equipment. I would have died in that environment. Like I just had to turn my thermostat up one degree.....much respect!!!!!

I love your videos for a lot of reasons. One in particular is how you let us experience the same things you are experiencing; the same sounds and views. No unnecessary 'verbal- jabber'. No useless, obnoxious, and completely unnecessary 'music' dubbed in.... we hear, see, and what you are experiencing. Reminds me of the time I did similar up in Spokane Wa during Air Force survival training. Spent 3 days during the Thanksgiving weekend. That was about 40yrs ago. I actually miss it. Great video. Nice & quiet, no people noise or annoying music.

Yes, me. I’m going through a horrendous amount of stress atm, but watching these types of wild camping videos does ease it somewhat. I’m planning my own wild/stealth camping trip soon. I’m from the UK & wild camping is illegal in most areas.

A cheese steak is so good that it's easily worth doing everything you see here. The cold, the snow, and the cheese steak as the reward. I used to snow camp when I was a kid out in the Pine Barrens - it was worth it! Thanks for a great watch!

While the tent, stove and dwarf telescope may steal the show, that Theram-a-Rest cot is something under appreciated. The fact that it gets you off the ground in conditions like this, plus doubles as a table, is far more valuable than people realize. The Helinox chair too. (I work in the outdoor industry, btw.)

неправильное место для палатки и постановка. пила что детская? а вдруг не будет бревна меньше диаметра чем она? . без дров останешся,надо сквозную брать. опытный человек сначала бы печку включил , потмо бы кровать ставил и другое. ээх. набирайся опыта а то на 1,5 млн дураком себя выставил

I love the solitude, peace, and quiet of winter camping. Got my first hot tent and stove last winter. Great video, the forest is beautiful with snow.
