The sale of counterfeit goods is a multi-billion dollar industry that can have negative impacts on consumers and fuel criminal organizations. In 2020, U.S Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers seized over 26,000 counterfeit goods shipments. We visited Steve Nethersole, a customs officer at JFK, to see how he’s spotting and stopping fakes.

Most people know that they are buying a fake. The brand name companies are not losing any money because that person that is purposely buying a fake is never going to buy the legitimate product because of the price.
@BrettonFerguson

They say they are worried about funding terrorism. I seriously doubt there is a Chinese terrorist cell making fake Nikes. They are worried about losing profits. Some will be forced to buy the legitimate product, not purses, but that audi grill someone will. If you crack your grill, you need a new one. Today's inflation is a result of corporate avarice, not only problems with the supply chain. We know that the money obtained by the higher prices isn't being transmitted along the supply chain since businesses are reporting record profits. More pricing result in increased revenue for businesses, which stays with them and goes into their pockets. We can rule out supply-related inflation because of this. If your stocks are extremely weak, now is an excellent opportunity to take a battered 401k and convert it to a Roth. Then, your Roth will be tax-free, and you will just have to pay taxes on the substantially reduced current values.

It's true, the same factory that makes the real products also makes the "fake" products. Well it's not necessarily fake, just not real. It's not officially manufactured under the brand's contract. When they're cutting thousands of feet of materials, they can sometimes save 10-20% which will be manufactured unofficially, and without a brand, though identical in every other specification. @@worldchangingvideos6253 These corporations dodge taxes all the time. You know what would help our economy? If these rich dickheads put their country before money and brought manufacturing home. But instead they outsource it half a world away and then are surprised that the Chinese don't give a damn about protecting their "branding."

This is true I remember I've watch a video about a woman who challenged herself to buy only products that are not from China. Guess what? She failed because most products are from China. I think this is one of the reasons why China is becoming more powerful than before, it might take the U.S. spot.
@user-rp1bi1ui5k

@@shanasakai2238 Not likely. Many billionaires in China continue to rise, yes, however many go completely bankrupt in a matter of seconds because of the government. Many companies refuse to pay their bribery money and just like that, gone. Just a few days ago did a millionaire company go bankrupt because they "broke a rule" lmao. Not anti-China here given that I’m Chinese, but because of the government China won’t surpass. Of course though, if China doesn’t eliminate its teammates then they can 100% surpass.

The point is not really about causing traffic accidents, it's about tow here the money goes when you buy the Audi grille It could have been manufactured by some terrorist organisation By buying that fake Audi grille , You are directly funding that terrorist organisation

@@srihari2846 No terrorist is making Audi grilles in China. One big ass lie by the corporations. The counterfeit industry in China is almost mainstream with Industrial zones dedicated to the trade. If a terrorist works at a bakery to fund his terrorist activities would you blame the bakery?

@@srihari2846 i think you totally missed the point. It’s not the manufacturer in China who’s funding the terrorism but it’s some random freak who buys from them and sells counterfeit items to fund the terrorism.
