Miss his being on TV. He is wickedly well read, knows a helluva lot of history (I've had to google/wiki things he's referenced off the cuff just to have a reference) , obviously quick to flirt (I suspect he's good friends with some who keep coming back)... the only guy who matched Robin Williams shot for shot and if you haven't seen Russel Brand on this show it was when I understood some people are massively knowledgeable, have processors 10x faster than most of us mortals, and use a vocabulary that seriously adorns their dialogue. His stand up is good (as in a recorded special) but this one on on quick wit is something to admire.

Be grateful that we have so many clips of his on UKposts. Why, when I was a boy, when you missed a show, you missed a show! 🙂

Tearing the notes was a running gag that he did forever. He and Alec Baldwin were making of the questions that were written on the notes when he said "Screw these!" and tore them up. He did that with every guest he had afterward.
