He did get caught a bunch which is very 😟 concerning seeing that he was hit with that punch up until he won. He will definitely get better as he ages up in the sport. Very skilled fighter though and has many abilities. Very proud of the young fighter.

When you're a brawler/pressure fighter like Moton or Porter no matter how tight your defense is your gonna get caught with a couple setups off of feints

Ideally, you want to have these things drilled into a fighter BEFORE they turn professional. If you need “experience” and “time” to keep your hands at your eyebrows and protect yourself, then you have bad habits that will likely NEVER be corrected. Look at Devin Haney. His hand has been under his chin since the amateurs. And it costed him against Garcia. It is unlikely that Curmel will adopt a different defensive posture as a professional.
