David and Dave are legit class acts. This past summer, my wife and I were on a cross country road trip that took us through Kansas so we stopped by the shop just so I could say I had actually been there. I met Crazy D and asked if it would be an imposition to look in the shop and say hello to The Wizard if he was around. As luck would have it he was and he was kind enough to stop what he was working on to say hello and chat for a minute with a fan. After that Crazy D was generous enough to give us a tour of the shop and Hoovies' projects. It was an awesome experience and I am happy to report that these guys are every bit as cool as they look on TV.

Mechanics hate that word. “Technician”. It’s a word used to make “mechanic” seem more high tech and palatable to ignorant customers at high volume dealers etc, and to elevate a shop helper to a higher status without customers complaining. They aren’t just a hired hand without a mechanics certification etc, they’re “technicians” see? Anyway, take it fwiw.

Theres another Mechanic that does alot of what the wizard does Rainman ray repairs. Alot of his work is done from a more first person perspective with things like a body cam etc. I honestlly think These people filming their work brings more customers because the transparency it gives, people will trust you more when they can clearly see they wont get ripped off. Also the cameras add an insurance policy to the shop as it can prevent fruad from customers or a insurance company because the work done is clearly documented and nobody can refute if wasnt done right

The first time I listened to Car Talk on the radio, I was in love. Two brother mechanics with humor and knowledge answered questions on the radio from people like myself on car problems. And did that for many years. I don’t think that program could ever be duplicated. Once they read a letter from a young girl complaining about the show. She said her dog even hated it. They called her and invited her to appear with them. Very funny. Martha Stewart sat in with them. They took a call from space once. They even talked with their mother till she passed away. I have learned many repair lessons from the new stars of car repair. They have both saved and cost me money. Thanks to Hoovie, Car wizard, and many other UKposts Kanas stars. For me, watching the Wizard own the mistake on the Merc had to be damn hard but was the right decision. Mistakes happen, how we respond to them is everything and he owned it and made it right. I just wish I didn't live so far away because I have a car that could use his help.

Big Fan of Hoovies Garage and the Wizzard from Montreal. I would love to meet you guys if I were to do a road trip down to your area... (quite a roadtrip) But the fact is, you guys have so much on your plate and so many fans who would just love to shake your hand and say hello... I rather just say so in the comment and let you awesome guys do your thing. Cheers and thanks for the amazing, quality content.

Car Wizard, you give us faith that there are good and honest mechanics out there. When I moved to a new part of PA it literally took me 10+ years to find a good, honest mechanic.

Hi car wizard! It’s been interesting to see you grow as a presenter. I discovered hoovies channel a year or two ago and have devoured the great content. It’s nice to hear your story and also (as mentioned) see you relax on camera over time. Such a likeable guy and team. I also like how successful UKpostsrs sometimes enable other (often more mechanically minded…) guys to see and enjoy the limelight too. 👍

David is a great guy and an amazing mechanic. I enjoy his videos and also find them educational. Trying to balance his career as a car mechanic with UKposts I’m sure wasn’t easy to begin with but now Omega is without a doubt a very famous workshop with mountains of credibility.

It's really a good proof of Hoovie's character that he "took" the Car Wizard along with him on his ride up. Not to say the Wizard couldn't have made it on his own because he has his unique brand of quality. It just is a nice community, great friends, good people to watch. Love it.

When you get ready to retire in a few years you’ll be glad that you kept your eyes on the BOTTOM LINE ... the years fly by and when they are gone they aren’t coming back. The Hoovster has got his ... wrenching and filming are like apples & oranges, keeping your shop in the Black is critical - filming doesn’t always work out the best as it takes tremendous patience.

He's got a good upfront delivery of his material on his channel too. The Bob Ross of car mechs. I'm from the UK so some of the cars, particularly trucks I don't relate to. However, it's his method of work - how he approaches it, is what intrigues me and keeps me hooked on his channel, regardless of vehicle. Always a good watch.

it's interesting to note the shift in dynamics. To consider the pressures that come with maintaining business and also adding in a new system is interesting to think of. This is really insightful for a view on how youtube changed the omega shop, I'm glad that he's managed to balance both his shop in doing what he want's to do and a youtube presence

I have learned so much from ur videos bro. I own a tree and a landscaping business and own more vehicles than I need. I’ve saved tons of money on repairs by fixing as much stuff as I can from watching and listening to u and nit taking it to the mechanic every time. Also by avoiding buying cars I thought were cool but learned they they are mechanical nightmares. U have helped thousands of people like me no doubt.

Thanks for a great video. I appreciate your honesty and sharing your wisdom on fixing cars. We DIY'ers are empowered by your many videos! I am 72 years old, in my youth we did not have the internet. Mechanic shops kept all the information and specifications on fixing cars "secret". If you asked them for advice and explained that you were a DIY'er, they would tell you to go pound sand! You and your crew are a beacon for us DIY'ers. Carry On Sir!

Wizard, I am not a big subscriber on UKposts. But, I do understand , I subscribed to your channel. I relate to your challenges in a small way, being a UKpostsr myself. It is amazing how frustrating it is to put a camera in your face when trying to work on a project. It doubles the time, and frustration level also doubles. Much success in the future! The price of fame and fortune for such a good looking fellow. Papa Boozer (Merry Boozer RC)

It is so hard to find a trustworthy mechanic that knows what they are doing and wont rip you off that people will put up with almost anything if they know their car will be fixed right. On top of that if they see videos of cars being fixed at the shop with the problem solving that goes on they will want their car fixed in this place even more.

I remember My Friend Pete of South West Rods and Customs talking about his "reality" show called Tough Love Garage. He said there was nothing real about it. Now he just does really great instructional videos about auto body, and life in general. I really like you channel.
