I appreciate the story, but I wish the title had been more accurate. He did not escape Russian capture. He was released in a prisoner exchange.

The first 24yrs of my life was filled with people like him pointing guns at me, and using every anti-Irish slur. BTW, there are families here waiting 50+ years for justice for their relations shot dead by people just like him.

We were flown to Saudi Arabia, where we were met by UK diplomats, members of the FCDO. After medical check-ups and we were then flown to the UK.
