Mind you, I was already doing corks before this, so I already had some feeling on how to approach the movements. This is me landing it after not having done it from this very setup for years. So it's a relearning process.

Cool man! I like doing one trick sessions to! That’s where the best progress comes!😊
@TatsuNovice10 місяців тому
Yeah, these type of sessions are quite useful whenever I feel I have the prerequisites. Just force the trick out like that.

Lets go man! 🔥 this is so much better to really learn the trick rather than just sending it and hoping for the best 😂
@TatsuNovice10 місяців тому
It sure is, I was sending it from masterscoot everytime. Didn't what was happening at all. This is way more controlled. Will try to progress more with this

swing 9 is seriously a great trick. helps with both cork and btwist if you mess with it a bit. good stuff bro 👊🏻
@TatsuNovice10 місяців тому
Very useful underrated trick, it turns into cork/cork round quite easily once you attack the setup a bit more

Thanks alot bro! Basically used your tutorial to achieve this.

This is how I'm trying to learn cork too. I'll try some of your tips next session 😁
@TatsuNovice10 місяців тому
Yes! This is the not scary vert kick style of learning. For the swing9 I swing towards the camera, for the cork I swing more towards the direction I came from. Also speeding up the leg and arm swing helps alot with turning this into cork! Looking forward to seeing you land it

Honestly, this was really good. But, it's hard to find a gym that will allow this.
@TatsuNovice3 місяці тому
Thanks alot! You should try freerunning or tricking gyms.

This has been very helpful and it looks like you’re doing a Dragon Punch when launching. Does that help?
@TatsuNovice5 місяців тому
My arms just do what I would normally do for any swing setup. I try to swing them upwards along with my swing leg. You could pull one arm over like a dragon punch and generate more flip, bur wasn't my focus. All I did was try to land it. Still needs work obviously!

i can’t do a gainer but can i still do a cork? (can you give tips)
@TatsuNovice9 місяців тому
It's possible as shown in the video. You do need a good setup however. Mastery of the setup is crucial to set height and flip for the actual trick. Doing swing 9's and just trying to do the setup faster and more powerful helps me get onto that cork axis. Thid might not worl for you however... I would suggest training the setup along with swing 9 and then once you can do swing 9 everytime, increase the intensity of the setup. Reallg start attacking the setup harder. This should make you flip. Hope this helps!

@@TatsuNovice which is better scoot setup or the j-step? i can’t do a full 540 i can only do a 360 in the air and fall on my back, how do i spin faster?
@TatsuNovice9 місяців тому
@@Limingxl wrap your armd as hard and fast as possible after takeoff. Tighten your body. Look into direction you're going. Work on these things one at a time...

@@TatsuNovice which is better scoot setup or the j-step?
@TatsuNovice9 місяців тому
@@Limingxl for me they both have their own purpose. I would use scoot for varation corks and j step or pivot swing to train the base cork or swingthroughs

the last cork was so nice, too bad you didnt land it

I was trying to invert a bit more, but my setup wasn't optimal unfortunately...
