Рік томуHow long does it take to convert a school bus into a skoolie tiny home? The honest answer is…
It varies. A skoolie is so customizable, that it will all depend on how fast YOU want it to be built.
However, we have found that building out a bus is affected by 3 things: time/money/effort. We may not have a lot of money, but we have spent 3 YEARS slowly building our bus to our high standards. A retired couple may not have the time but, the money to spend for someone else’s hard efforts.

Hey, check your oil pressure guage on the dash. If you have a mechanical guage (oil line feed) from dash to engine, check the guage oil line feed at the dash. Mine just started to weep, and just prevented a mass disaster from 75 psi of oil spraying all over the place. New line, new fitting. Just a heads up.

I’ve removed my dash so many times!! Just recently pulled it to replace my 194 instrumental lights to LED. Great tip!

@@parishskoolie If your quick disconnect fitting on the back of the dash for the oil line is elbow, don't even waste your time trying to remove the gauge. The elbow quick disconnect is lock-tightened in, and you will wreck your cluster. For me, I'm doing a separate mount oil PSI gauge, boost, and egt. Any other gauges needed will be NOS, for the cluster. OHH ya, I just did the LED upgrade also and swapped out that horrible low-air buzzer for the chime style.

@@parishskoolie Also, do you have cruise control on that fs65? Does it work? Mine is absolutely dead, the fuses are good, the relay is good, switches all test good, any insight? Mine is the Cummins 5.9/24v. Thank You John A 60107

My partner and I diy our own skoolie too. If we can go back, I would Definitely recommend getting your bus professionally spray foam too.

I get the appeal of the skoolie. The drivetrain is always the big deterrent.

Very true! Although we think the Cummins is a reliable engine, the 5.9 with the 545 in a full sized bus is just too underpowered
