The Assyrian empire started long ago, on the banks of the Tigris river. Assyrian history involves the Sumerians, Babylonians, and other ancient empires. It involves great kings of old and tales that are legendary.

My uncle Dr. Donny George (rip) would have been proud of your video as he was the Iraqi-Assyrian archaeologist, anthropologist, author, curator, and scholar, and professor at Stony Brook University in New York, spreading his knowledge about our lost civilization. We still around and there're millions of us who've migrated to Sweeden, Canda, USA, and Australia cause of the war against us for being a Christian minority in Iraq but we live another day. @Lord Voldemort Akkadians migrated into Mesopotamia probably in the third millennium. Sumerians and Assyrians already lived there, Assyria likely named Shubaru at the time. Akkadians were one of the earliest Semitic migrations to the East. Amorites came in the second millennium, followed later by Arameans and then later by the Chaldeans. Mesopotamia absorbed many of these people, so we do share some of their DNA, but we need to remind ourselves that people inhabited northern Mesopotamia before the Akkadians arrived, and those same northerners rebelled again the Akkadians. Assyrians aren't purely Semitic as so many people try to claim

The Assyrian came down like the wolf on the fold, And his cohorts were gleaming in purple and gold; And the sheen of their spears was like stars on the sea, When the blue wave rolls nightly on deep Galilee. Like the leaves of the forest when Summer is green, That host with their banners at sunset were seen: Like the leaves of the forest when Autumn hath blown, That host on the morrow lay withered and strown. For the Angel of Death spread his wings on the blast, And breathed in the face of the foe as he passed; And the eyes of the sleepers waxed deadly and chill, And their hearts but once heaved, and for ever grew still! And there lay the steed with his nostril all wide, But through it there rolled not the breath of his pride; And the foam of his gasping lay white on the turf, And cold as the spray of the rock-beating surf. And there lay the rider distorted and pale, With the dew on his brow, and the rust on his mail: And the tents were all silent, the banners alone, The lances unlifted, the trumpet unblown. And the widows of Ashur are loud in their wail, And the idols are broke in the temple of Baal; And the might of the Gentile, unsmote by the sword, Hath melted like snow in the glance of the Lord!

Asshur was their ancestor. The historical record shows that everyone spread out from Mesopotamia. Ancient history is essential for everyone to know, especially the sixteen original civilizations… from the sixteen grandsons of Noah. It’s necessary to learn ancient history before trying to learn science. 1. The first inhabitants of Italy (K) Tubal 2. Thracians (L) Tiras 3. Siberians (N) Meshek 4. East Asians (O) Magog 5. Medes (PQ) Madai 6.. Western Europeans (R) Gomer 7. Mediterranean Greek sea people (T) Javan 8. Hebrews and Arabic (IJ) Arphaxad 9. Elamites (H) Elam 10. Assyrians (G) Asshur 11. Arameans (F1) Aram 12. Lydians (F2) Lud 13. Cushites (AB, C) Cush 14. Egyptians (E3) Mitzrayim 15. Canaanites (E2, D) Canaan 16. Original North African Phoenicians (E1) Phut The D haplogroup descendants of Canaan migrated east through Tibet all the way to Japan. The C haplogroup descendants of Nimrod migrated to South Asia, the Pacific, Mongolia, Australia and all the way to the Americas along with Q haplogroup descendants of Madai ancestor of the Medes. The A maternal mtDNA haplogroup belonging to the N lineage accompanied the Q paternal haplogroup in the Americas. The C&D maternal haplogroups belong to the M lineage. The B maternal haplogroup seems to have crossed the Pacific Ocean. The Mediterranean paternal R1b and the maternal X2a also found in Galilee represent an Atlantic crossing of the Phoenicians in the days of King Solomon considering also the Mediterranean paternal haplogroups of T, G, I1, I2, J1, J2, E and B in addition to the R1b in Native American Populations. J1 and J2 is Arabs and Jews. (I1 is Dan, I2 is Asher) Of course there is the Cohen modal haplotype of J1 P58 which identifies the IJ lineage of Hebrews and Arabs that are descended from Arphaxad. J2 M172 is the descendants of the House of David and Solomon.

@@hassanbassim4007 That has been disproven by DNA-testing and Assyrians are proven to be highly homogeneous. Iraqi arabs have a mixed DNA since they mixed with the different mesopotamian people that lived there before they invaded mesopotamia. No different than a muslim iraqi?? We speak a different language, different DNA, different culture, different religion and we are a different ethnicity. Iraq contains many ethnicities and saying that they are the same is justs wrong.

@@torenreshyopolous6081 the median empire rulled over unwanted lands, Persia back then was nothing, they were a bunch of tribes and rulling over Iran was easy until Darius United the Persian tribes to form the Acheamenid empire.

@torenreshyopolous6081 4 роки тому
@@chadthunderstorm8148 I agree on that, but still, Assyrians couldn't rule that much of a vast empire due to their extreme cruelty and constant revolts in response to their extreme cruelty. They could've been much larger than the achaemenid empire had they not been so oppressive. The problem with Assyria was their rule. The kings were to arrogant and had to force everyone to worship that shit of a god, ashur, who by the way, was one of the main reasons why every vassal state dogpiled on Assyria after they saw them as weak. Persians copied their god from ashur but they removed the war part, which was the reason why they could conquer more lands. They actually gave a shit about human rights.

One day we will return to our country. Assyria belongs to the Assyrians. Isaiah 19:23-25 Nearly six million Assyrian Christians dot the world. Mesopotamia is the homeland of the Assyrians. The famous royal cities of the Assyrians, Ashur, Nimrud (Kalhu), Arbela, Dur-Sharrukin and Nineveh were built in it. The Assyrians ruled for approximately 1,300 years - from about 2000 B.C. to 612/10 BC - in northern Mesopotamia an ancient landscape between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers. A clear reference to the existence of the Assyrians, on the other hand, can already be found in the Old Testament (1st Book of Moses 2:14). There it says: * “… the name of the third river is the Tigris, which flows east of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates..."
