Lukashivka, in the south of the Chernihiv region, was under Russian occupation for 21 days. The Russian military drove through the village on their tanks, stole livestock, took away mobile phones, lived with locals in cellars, and had set up a headquarters and a weapons depot at the church. At the end of March, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the village. The people of Lukashivka are gradually recovering from the occupation and are rebuilding their houses.
How Lukashivka lives today - watch hromadske's special.
