I can’t beat him should I just quit the game?

I appreciate that the devs had me encounter my first boss within the 2 hours refund time per steam policy. I tried like 30 times to kill this but couldn't dodge his combo, like I got no way to dodge those wide slashes and get killed in like 4 hits so I just gave up. One of the most boring combats I've ever seen, insta refund =D

to everyone who is still stuck: parry then spam the sword weapon art twice. repeat and the boss will be dead.

How is this boss so fucking hard? 🤣 Edit: I did end up actually beating him and it was so worth it as the game really does open up after this. I think the main issue is you are capped at something like level 4, so can't even get stronger to beat him.

Tried to kill the boss for over two hours with rests in between. Tried sprinting, rolling, parrying. The most damage i did to it was around 20%. Im a seasoned gamer and got too frustrated. Had the double handed sword. My stamina couldnt match my movements so my character would hit then atand there recovering then get hit. Ridiculous there isnt an easier setting. Beautiful game. But too frustrating.

This enemy is a very, VERY bad idea for a 1st boss. Elden/Souls/Borne (because yes, the comparison is valid) handles this differently, by giving you a whopper of a fist boss and REWARDS YOU if you can beat it. If not? Game goes on and opens up. This is on the other hand is frustrating as fuck. A few Tips: 1. His left is his weak side. Always dodge to his left. HIS left, so its YOUR right. When in doubt - dodge to the side he doesn't hold his sword in. 2. Armor is useless. Go in naked with a 1H sword and use the zippy dodge. If you want to use armor, spam Parry and pray to all the gods you get the timing right. 3. You can open a new "Realm" in the main menu. Click play and you start on the beach with your current character. You can make as many realms as you want, so farm the fuck out of this game. 4. Buy bombs and blade oil with your farmed money, cook as many food items as you can and then go to town. 5. No armor, dodge, farm other realms. Good luck. 6. Boss sucks.

I'll be back if theres ever an option to lower the difficulty. Im nowhere near killing this and die often to normal enemys. Too bad cause I like the combat and feel of it.

I thought I was the only one who couldn't beat this boss. I see many have the same problem. It's just frustrating. I will definitely not buy the full version. Life is hard enough, the game doesn't have to be.

This is ridiculous The game needs an easier mode

the boss kills in x2 hit if u dont have heal, u have to hit him x45 with x3 times enhanced sword (and more than 60 if not) if u fail a perfect parry u take 1 or 2 hit depending on moveset. It mean if u want to pass this boss u u must not fail a perfect parry more than once over 60 hits. (despite always getting fps drop on a full try on the boss). if u consider the probabilty for a player with 50% perfect parry rate (wich is decent) Mathematics says my probability of victory are 1/18 446 744 073 709 551 616!!!!! who balanced this game?

Boss isn’t fun. Supper buggy AOE and pretty much one hit and you guys chained 4-5 times. Ranges passes through blocks and shields too so might aswell not use one
