In this talk, Andrew shares the three habits that create magnetic human beings. They are simple to do, yet seldom done well. He demonstrates how you can become more magnetic and build deeper relationships with customers by asking for and using feedback, posing more questions, and listening with your heart. This talk is dynamic, inspiring, emotional and authentic.
About Andrew:

He has lived, worked or run businesses on six continents, and is an author and expert on the habits of high performance. 1. Ask people for their opinion. Listen to them in silence. Pay attention with your heart. That’s magnetic. 2. Try and understand what people need. Not not just hear what people say. That’s magnetic. 3. Practice every day with feedback from a coach to improve and perform at the highest level. That’s magnetic. Note. Being magnetic is not an action. Its a habit.

Hey Little Brother, this is a great talk and really makes a person think about how habits can become changes in ones life . Excellently delivered with enough mix of funny antidotes and serious information. I am going to have all my sales staff watch the video and try the listening side, I for one have realized how bad I am at listening as I will be monitoring mails while people are talking to me. Thanks for the great talk.

"We learn to tolerate our bad habits by telling ourselves better stories" Great talk! Makes me assess what stories I've been telling myself about how I've been developing skills and habits.

This talk is so important. One of my favorites of all time. The section I will never forget is about giving/receiving feedback: focus on strengths, build confidence + competence. Great job, Andrew! 👏👏👏

Moose deserves a lot of credit for a lot of things. Most of them will not be mentioned in these comments :). But, he was the best damn brother to have growing up. Although I kinda hated being called "Mooselet" because I was the smaller brother, it was also awesome having the biggest big brother in the school.

This is a talk I am coming back to once again at least to take notes. I like his take on what makes a person magnetic. However, I believe there is not one universal formula for that. Hitler was magnetic in his own time for his own crowd and I cannot imagine him asking for feedback. But I can relate to the points he make and I am eager to improve myself in the three areas that makes a person magnetic. Great talk! Thanks Google :)

Madiba! The Master Listener. It is call the Relationship Driven habit of building customer and sales loyalty. I have asked several questions directed to the Google staff and never received any answers. That is very sad, but, I am still a Google paying customer.

Andrew Sykes I appreciated everything you said. This morning, I woke up even more determined to talk less to my wife and listen three times more. She has been affected by a Traumatic Brain Injury since 1981 and never received proper therapy. As a result, she cannot keep up with people who speak fast and never let anyone else get a word in. That experience has made her a very angry person and the vast majority of people engaging with her do not understand the problem. The result is high emotion and anger throughout her life with family and now me for the last 19 years. Yes we all need to be heard. Yes we all need to let others answer our query as well. Conversations, discussions, arguments and debates can be very productive in business when everyone gets on board with greater listening skills. The other caveat is when people give and share productive resolutions to all the problems that arise in our professional and personal lives. Thank you Andrew!

@@ArtOfHealth Thank you for sharing that. I can only imagine how difficult that must be for your wife and for you. I wish you luck with your new commitment. If we all talked less and listened three times more, the world would be a very different place!

Quitting smoking is easy once you realize that you're addicted to nicotine. When you are addicted to something that means you have no control over your relationship with that substance. If you want to quit, you can never TOUCH that substance again. If you don't touch it, you won't use it.
